If you want to get promoted in your job, you have to demonstrate that you have the right vibe. Now, let me explain to you what that means. It's your executive presence. First and foremost. You've got to show leadership skills and great leaders are great listeners. It doesn't mean you don't talk, it means that you really do listen and you absorb. You're in that learning mode. When people know that you listen to them, they have great confidence in you and that is a leadership skill that everybody needs to work on. Secondly is never discount the quality of being a good communicator. Express yourself clearly and concisely. Don't ramble, don't punt tificate. Make your statement, make it clear after you've listened and then inclusivity. But what I mean by that is you listen to other people's opinions. There's a really good exercise. They use it in improv. It's called yes. And you see the yes and opens up ideas, opens up people creativity, the no, but shuts people down. And then it's really interesting this idea of what is your superpower? Find out what it is. That you're really good at and really drive home on that. Don't be just good at it, be great. The last one, it's storytelling. You get numbers and statistics that gives you credibility. It's storytelling that people remember. Give brilliant examples of of clients, customers, personal stories. That leadership vibe, that executive presence is what will get you promoted. Put Coach in the comment line and let's set up a meeting.
