No prior experience of umpiring in cricket is required before attending the course. Whether you plan to support Junior Softball cricket through to adult cricket, this course will cover the following topics: - Understanding the role of the umpire - Gain a basic understanding of umpiring the game - Answering appeals and the common methods of dismissal - How to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the game - Judging whether or not it is safe to play The course is split into classroom and practical learning, so we recommend learners to come dressed appropriately. Learners will be asked to complete some e-learning prior to attending the course, which will take no more than 90 minutes to complete in total. Pre-learning can be completed via multiple visits or in one go. Pre-requisites: Learners must be 14 years of age at the time of the course. 🏀 Referee Skills in Action! 🏀 Over five weeks, the #NHDOC hosted a Basketball Referee Clinic at the NH State Prison for Men in Concord. Led by Assistant Commissioner Raymond and Professional Standards Director Pingree—both experienced community referees—the program blended classroom learning with on-court practice to elevate officiating skills. This year, 15 individuals participated, covering everything from taking a national basketball rules test to mastering signals, mechanics, and play breakdowns from a referee's perspective. The clinic culminated in an exciting scrimmage, where participants put their training into action. Spain dominating world of football in men’s and women’s on all levels of the game Kids learn the fundamentals of football at very young age in very good organised academies that are full of high level pro and A Licence coaches to teach the kids the game. Having top level coaches from the age of 8 and above in a every day environment is critical for success. This is where the difference is made, knowing that high level of coaches can implement , show and maintain quality training and guidance to kids to make it to the next step. Having that foundation makes it easier for the young players to transition into older ages adding the tactical and physical side of the game.

IDEA: Create Football ⚽️ Scouting Courses for UK 🇬🇧 PE Teachers in primary & secondary schools so they can be more switched on to scouting out football talent in there class. It’s one thing being an all rounded PE teacher that also runs the boys & girls football ⚽️ team but what if PE teachers can be better educated on how to scout football talent and have the certification to report it to Major Football ⚽️ Clubs making for more UK 🇬🇧 football talent and relying less on overseas talent to win places in our Premiership & Championship football clubs. It’s also more motivating for school 🏫 kids knowing there PE teachers are qualified to scout and recommend talented young footballers to major UK 🇬🇧 football ⚽️ clubs. So many opportunities could be won if PE teachers were trained & licensed to football ⚽️ scout in the Schools 🏫 they teach 🥅.

There are over 100k youth footballers in Greece. Due to Skillmasters.io’s new partnership with Yiannis Kotsis, an absolute TITAN in Greek football and sports science for 20 years, our path to impacting the development of all Greek youth footballers has become a whole lot clearer. We will be giving these athletes and their clubs the opportunity to measure their physical, technical and cognitive levels against international standards. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Yiannis as he will utilize our platform, administer our tests and work with Greek academies and grassroots clubs to pinpoint areas of strengths and weaknesses in their players’ development. We will be actively working together to introduce new player development methods in Greece to improve the number of quality youth players that are produced in the country. As Skillmasters, we can’t wait to play a critical role in the future of football in Greece! #athletetesting #youthfootball #playerdevelopment
