The Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana (LFK) recently announced the approval of 19 grants totaling $2 million to support charitable programs that foster healthier communities for residents in the Louisville area, focused particularly on the needs of vulnerable populations. These funds will support organizations across Jefferson, Shelby, Bullitt, Nelson, and Hardin counties in Kentucky and Clark County in Indiana. Through these grants, LFK reaffirms its commitment to strengthening local health and well-being by addressing some of the region’s most pressing challenges. This month, Beacon Hill's San Francisco Tech team did ab "Adopt a Family" for their community service initiative. The "Adopt a Family" program is a charitable initiative typically run by community organizations, nonprofits, or social service agencies during the holiday season, especially in December. Today, Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation announced $30M in donations to mark Dollarama’s over 30 years of serving Canadians. With the input of Dollarama employees nationwide, The Rossy Foundation has directed donations to 25 charitable organizations that were selected for their important contributions to Canadians’ lives and Canadian society across four pillars of action, including: - Meeting urgent needs, such as food security; - Promoting positive development by supporting children’s mental health and school readiness; - Caring for communities through environmental education and action; and - Inspiring excellence in areas such as athletics, education and entrepreneurship.
