#COP29 should serve as a platform for the realization of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) General Comment 26, emphasizing the rights of children in the context of environmental and climate justice. Ensuring inclusive participation of children in all climate actions is crucial for integrating human rights-based approaches in climate strategies.
Here are some reflections from COP 28 through the eyes of those most impacted - our children, as they call for more meaningful participation of children in these high-level forums.

Hallo, mein Name ist Anne Sander. I'm mahjong climate change. Activist from Kenya and are proud ambassador of Child Fund International on my reviews on the COP 28 conference. Not to say that children were included more in decision making in terms of climate, but I am also filled with sadness to see that they weren't included as much as we thought they would be when it was faster announced that children would have their opportunities to share their their stories. Everyone, my name is ***** Philippa Corridor, a young climate and and Childfund climate ambassador all the way from CU. I'm super excited to be here at COP 28 and honestly, I've learned a lot. This says the sessions we are educating have got to meet so many children, ambassador from different counties. We've got to learn, we've got to share experience though, like some of the sessions, you know, we are a little bit. Barry with panel discussion which was a lead added by the adults. They were not involved in us. The climate ambassador who advocating for children. I just hope and I'm pleading that there should be more platforms given to children climate ambassadors in order for them to voice out their opinions. Thank you. What I liked about COP is that I was able to interact with fellow children and youth from different parts of the world and. You were able to bring together our voices. We hope that our voices will be put into action and there will be more involvement of children and youth in climate change platforms.
Children's voices are a powerful global force. Their views should be proactively sought. States attending COP29 should provide a safe environment for children to exercise their freedom of expression. #cop29
