Numerous companies grow by acquiring, but we have grown organically and steadily. Here’s the approach we took. At ECMAS, we prioritise leveraging global innovations to enrich the quality and variety of our offerings. We scouted for cutting-edge technologies worldwide, carefully evaluating each one before finalising agreements for technology transfer. This process allowed us to build and strengthen our homegrown R&D capabilities, ensuring continual innovation and development. When we partnered with organisations, we looked for synergy, assessed the added value, and evaluated their product portfolio. This approach helped us grow organically and steadily acquire new technologies. In 2013, partnerships with European and Italian companies for waterproof drying systems and cement additives propelled our growth. By 2015, we had a comprehensive portfolio of advanced products, enabling us to enter new markets. Our momentum continued with Erro-tec BV, Netherlands, in 2019 for PU injections. Embracing new technologies, we expanded our R&D capabilities and built long-term relationships with technology partners to ensure sustained innovation. These days, I have the pleasure to attend on behalf of IDONIAL Centro Tecnológico to the international galvanizing conference Intergalva 2024, held in Bruges, Belgium. This is an event where the world's main batch galvanising companies, alloy suppliers, industrial equipment, additives, fluxes, ... meet all together for interesting discussion on their business. From the ‘eyes’ of those who we are working on Innovation and R&D projects, it is really curious to see how each different industrial sector sees and understands with a completely different perspective the challenge of decarbonisation, the concept of circular economy, the global situation of steel and other elements such as, in this case, Zinc.

Factory of the Future 🌿 It's Sustainable Tuesday in the Netherlands, the perfect opportunity to shine a light on our groundbreaking E2E concept 💡 Developed by Tummers and still evolving as we speak, the E2E concept represents a transformative approach to sustainability. By harnessing our own developed and patented technology, this concept converts emissions into energy, empowering our customers to build a production process that is not only future-proof but also sustainable and cost-efficient. Last year, we introduced two pioneering machines: the E2E SteamClosure and the E2E FlowCondensor. But this is just the beginning! 🌱We recently participated in the International Workshop on Advancing Sustainable Resource Management and Substitution, hosted by BLACKCYCLE and the PASSENGER project. During the workshop, Industry Leaders shared their perspective on sustainable practices and efficient resource management, highlighting a holistic value chain approach, including relevant legal frameworks. ⚡PASSENGER is contributing to the electrification of Europe, by developing novel permanent magnets that replace Critical Raw Materials with European resources. The project is promoting sustainable electromobility, fostering EU innovation and mitigating the dependence of the continent on energy-intensive and supply-limited materials. 🧲🛵  The C-SINK Project was also in attendance, presenting the contribution of CDR techniques. 📋Our Business Development Manager, Dr. Konstantinos Sakkas introduced novel Strategies for Sustainable Resource Management, drawing from our experience in sustainable development and business innovation. Many sectors need to contribute to faster decision-making on clean technologies. Engineering community needs to provide accurate information on life-cycle impact and likely cost. Ideally the engineering community would reach a consensus on which technologies are likely to be beneficial to society. Industry needs to invest/participate in the demonstration of new technologies at larger scale, to provide better cost estimates, and to reduce the technical risk. Industry can often identify additional non-technical barriers to deploying a technology. Governments needs to provide some financial support for both the research and the demonstrations, and then strong policy support for the most beneficial technologies. That policy support facilitates the huge investments needed.

This day is marked to honor Alessandro Volta's birthday ⚡ , the Italian physicist known for inventing the first real battery in 1801.  This year, International Batteries Day coincides with the new EU Batteries Regulation becoming applicable (https://lnkd.in/emg359Jb).
