As the train moves faster, more energy is stored and increases the wheel lift and displacement of coaches in collision. With Green Buffers, we make the necessary soft initiation of the first crash zones during time of impact, followed by the multi-step characteristics of energy absorption, similar to what the automotive industry is already using. The crash system improves the controlled energy balance by optimizing the available collapsing stroke in each interface. The system is easy to mechanically upgrade on non-crash-proof and limited crash-proof trains and of course easy to implement on new trains. Quick and easy replacement of the dedicated elements (Strenx®) after accidents reduces the total cost of ownership of the trains through reduced repair costs and downtime for trains and tracks. While progress is evident in the electrification of 2- and 3-wheelers in Africa and Asia, the transition for minibuses remains challenging. In East Africa, where the formalization of paratransit services and mass transit systems is underway, there is a unique opportunity to discuss and enable the electrification of minibuses. Right now, the first regional exchange on minibus electrification is taking place, bringing together government decision-makers, researchers, and experts to modernize the minibus sector across the continent. A hydrogen-powered train built by Swiss company Stadler has set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) after it traveled nonstop for 1,741 miles (2,803 km). The feat was achieved using a pilot hydrogen-powered passenger train car at a dedicated test ring in Colorado in the US. When looking for sustainable transportation solutions, an electric vehicle (EV) comes to mind. While this technological development is great for reducing tail-pipe emissions, there is a need for sustainable mass transit options as well. More recently, automotive companies have also demonstrated the ability of electric buses.
