According to estimates from the Tourism Ministry, foreign tourists are projected to make between 1.02 million and 1.325 million visits, contributing an economic potential of Rp 22.55 trillion to Rp 29 trillion. Meanwhile, domestic tourists have even greater potential with an estimated 78.2 million trips, generating an economic potential of Rp 117.3 trillion. A survey conducted by the Transportation Ministry indicated that most tourist activities are concentrated on Java Island, particularly in Central Java, at 17.1 percent, and Yogyakarta at 15.77 percent. “We hope this moment can serve as a significant driver for national economic growth while also enhancing Indonesia's tourism image, providing a comfortable, safe and seamless travel experience,” Deputy Tourism Minister Ni Luh Enik "Puspa" Ernawati said on Saturday.
