Queer Botany..... 😂 Hilarious right, at the same time, it unravels the mysteries of our diverse ecosystem. Please, kindly tell me what you know about this topic, do you think nature is male or female.....#botany #ecology #nature #queer #ecosystems

🌟 Remembering Jagadish Chandra Bose: A Pioneer of Modern Science 🌟 Jagadish Chandra Bose was a visionary scientist and inventor whose groundbreaking work bridged the gap between physics, biology, and technology. 📡 Known as the father of wireless communication, Bose was one of the first to demonstrate the use of radio waves for communication, predating even Marconi’s patents. His contributions laid the foundation for technologies we rely on today. 🌱 But his brilliance didn’t stop there. Bose was also a pioneer in plant physiology. He invented the Crescograph, a device that measures plant growth, proving that plants respond to stimuli just like living organisms. 📜 Bose’s interdisciplinary approach to science, coupled with his determination to conduct research despite colonial restrictions, continues to inspire generations of scientists and innovators. As we reflect on his achievements, let us embrace his spirit of curiosity and innovation to drive progress in our own fields. 💡 “The true laboratory is the mind, where behind illusions we uncover the laws of truth.” – Jagadish Chandra Bose #Innovation #Science #JagadishChandraBose #STEM #Inspiration
Jagadish Chandra Bose revolutionized science by proving that plants are alive, capable of feeling and responding! From inventing the Crescograph, which magnified plant movements, to experiments showing their responses to toxins, temperature, and even microwaves, Bose transformed our understanding of the natural world. A visionary beyond botany, he bridged science and nature in truly groundbreaking ways. ➡️ Swipe to uncover his incredible discoveries! #JagadishChandraBose #Botany #PlantLife #ScienceAndNature [Science And Nature, Botany, Plant Studies, Jagadish Chandra Bose]

The Plural of Cactus: Cacti or Cactuses? Cacti and cactuses: words that conjure images of arid deserts, spiky skins, and vibrant blooms. The word "cactus" has a unique place not only in botany but also in the way we use language to categorize and describe the natural world. This article delves deep https://lnkd.in/diTi2XEC

Lower Elementary - Botany: Plant Kingdom Classification This student is very focused while classifying vascular and non-vascular plants using the Plant Kingdom Classification chart. This work provides foundational knowledge of botany concepts, including photosynthesis, plant anatomy, and reproduction, introduces scientific vocabulary, and allows for comparative analysis, as students compare different groups of plants to gain an understanding of evolutionary relationships and the unique features of each group. #botany #plantkingdom #plantreproduction #scientificvocabulary #comparativeanalysis #academicallyprepared #order #concentration #coordination #independence #tma #montessori #privateschool #arlingtontx #arlington #texas #infant #nido #toddler #earlychildhood #preschool #kindergarten #elementary #education #privateeducation #nontraditional #themontessoriacademyofarlington

In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists have found that plants emit ultrasonic sounds when they are cut or stressed, often referred to as "screams." Although these high-frequency sounds are inaudible to the human ear, they are detectable by special equipment and might serve as a form of communication or distress signal. This finding opens new discussions about plant behavior, their response to external stimuli, and the complexities of the natural world that are still largely unexplored. #PlantResearch #ScientificDiscovery #NatureStudies #UltrasonicSounds #EnvironmentalScience #Botany #dailydawns

The most globally significant groups of pollinators are well known and have been studied for a long time: bees and wasps, flies, butterflies and moths, birds, bats and beetles are all familiar to those of us with an interest in pollination ecology. However, every few years a new type of pollinator or a novel pollination system is described from nature or from the fossil record, or we add further examples of previously neglected pollinator groups such as cockroaches. This begs the question: how much is there still to discover? What are the limits to pollinator diversity? A new article poses the question: https://lnkd.in/dN3dgfp5 #bees #birds #wasps #Diptera #butterflies #moths #fish #botany #entomology #pollinators #biodiversity

Bold colour, two seeds, one story... Here in my hand are seeds from two very different trees. What they have in common is their relationship with birds. Bright reds and oranges are highly visible to birds. The brightly coloured portions of these seeds are called arils. They both contain nutritious oils that birds want. The smaller seed is from a tree called a Wild Banana; the larger one is from a Pod Mahogany. #fieldguide #natureguide #botany #ecology #ecotraining

Perfect example of "Antixenosis" When an insect (thrips) touched the plant's trichomes, the head of the trichomes ruptured, releasing a sticky substance. This substance effectively hindered the insect's activity, showcasing a remarkable example of antixenosis, where the plant's physical structure deters insect interaction. #PlantDefenseMechanisms #Antixenosis #Trichomes #InsectDeterrents #PlantProtection #Nature #Wildlife #Botany #Entomology
