Experience. When the way forward looks blocked, as it did on my run this morning, it can often be experience that provides the path to the quickest solution. I hadn’t run this route in the dark for a long time, but I trusted that I could navigate it safely. That trust was based on my previous experience of running, with this being my 1,398th outing (since I started using an app to track my runs).
