You feel like you're on top of the world sitting in executive meeting. Everything's going great. And then the next you receive a phone call from your kids school and then your heart stops for a second until you can take that call. I studied business at the American University in Dubai and the fact that I grew up in the media and advertising industry helped me a lot and knowing exactly what I wanted to do since a very young age. I joined Shrady Group nine years ago on the exciting journey of transforming the group from a family owned business to a corporate group. Before becoming part of this company, we didn't have an HR department, so when I joined we had to create everything from scratch and build all the systems and processes to reach that. The transformation and changes within the group. So we're in the media and advertising industry, right? That means we're in always in constant evolution and change, especially in this digital world and all the transformations we're having. So it's very important for us to always stay at the top of all these trends. So imagine having to balance that and also preserve the values and the legacy of the group and its DNA. When it comes to a family owned business, if you know Schweddy Group, you probably know that our greatest asset are our employees. I take pride in balancing are highly professional standards and the well-being of each and every employee of the group. As an HR department, our culture is all about believing in our talents and protecting them. Things I take pride in. They're a lot. I'm proud of the family my husband and I have built. I'm proud of the children that I see growing in front of my eyes. I'm proud. Of my many achievements at work and the things that I've built and created. I'm proud. I'm proud to be part of such a wonderful culture in a group that has family in its core DNA. I'm so proud to be working so closely to my parents and my family because I'm a part of a group that has family and corporate so intertwined together. Motherhood has taught me a lot. It has taught me to become a better leader. Not smarter, not more strategic, but more confident, more fulfilled, more understanding of myself and of others. My work has also taught me to be a better mother. It shows my kids that success needs a lot of hard work, and it gives me confidence to raise good human beings. I've also learned that having systems in our lives and in our homes are as important as having them in our work. Just like every other mom out there, I'm still learning to let go of the guilt. I'm still learning to delegate more. I know that these bad days shall pass. I mean, life is a continuous learning process. To the working woman who want to start a family, I say you don't have to feel guilty to enjoy your work and know that you're awesome at it. You also don't have to feel guilty to not think about your work while you're enjoying your time with your family. Your career and your family both have great value in who you are, so just find yourself the right environment and the right supportive partner to embrace. This amazing journey through all its ups and downs. Your kids, they deserve to have a mom they can brag about. I dream of making more memories with my kids and enjoying life with them while still evolving and achieving at work. I dream of watching them grow into happy human beings and for them to achieve their own dreams. For me, these are the real luxuries of life. Words that inspire me. Never stop dreaming.
