I’ve always found the notion of someone being “overqualified” curious. Let me explain. For context, my point of view comes from a sales side. When interviewing candidates, I sometimes meet people with more experience than I have. Instead of feeling threatened, I see this as an opportunity. If you’re the best person for the job, you’re the best person for the job. Experienced individuals bring valuable perspectives, knowledge, and mentorship to a team. Their insights can lead to innovative solutions and drive success. Let’s stop viewing experience as a threat and start seeing it as an asset. What are your thoughts on hiring someone who’s “overqualified”? #Hiring #Overqualified #Leadership #CareerGrowth #TeamBuilding

Two hiring tips: Remember this when you’re hiring someone for a challenging role, remember this: Winners like pressure. They’ll perform better with pressure. (A related thought: Do you have any positions which aren’t challenging? If you do, re-design your expectations for those positions!) Seriously considering a candidate? Check out their social media. Don’t hire people who are consistently negative or taking victimhood positions. These people are almost certainly poor team members and will not handle disagreements and conflicts well. #LeadershipAscendant

Transformative Hire in Marketing Bringing in top talent for mid-level and executive roles can transform an organization. We recently filled a crucial position in our marketing team with a new VP of Marketing, Jessica. Her extensive background in digital marketing and her strategic mindset made her stand out during the recruitment process. Jessica's ability to blend creativity with data-driven decision-making is already having a positive impact on our campaigns. It's amazing to see how one key hire can elevate the entire team. Welcome, Jessica! Engaged teams drive success. I'd love to hear your experiences of transformative hires. 👉 Like if you've seen the power of a strategic hire. 💬 Comment sharing your own hiring triumphs. 🔄 Share to spread the word about the importance of right-people, right-place. 👥 Follow for more insights on team transformation. #MarketingLeadership #VPofMarketing #TeamTransformation

I've seen many posts about what hiring managers value most, and we like to keep it simple. To help identify the best candidates for our team, we ask one question: Pick one core value and tell us how you exemplify it your work or personal life . Our six core values—Accountability, Authenticity, Caring, Neutralevity, Surprise & Delight and X-Ray Vision—are our guiding principles, and this question reveals a lot about a candidate's alignment with our culture. Many candidates skip this question, which tells us all we need to know. What do you prioritize when hiring? #hiring #culture #companyculture

A friend reminded me of an exchange we had a few years ago when he was concerned about the cost of adding a new team member. It went something like: Q: “What will hiring this person do to the bottom line?” A: “Good question, but first, what will hiring this person do to the top line?” Whether or not the person will fill a “revenue generating” role, the top line question requires thinking about the team fit, culture contribution, and growth of the organization. It was a good reminder! #thinkdifferently #godeeper #leadwell
