A transitioning veteran asked me the commonality of veterans in corporate America that strayed from the principles expected of military personnel. Without exception, money was the driving force. The Benjamins! The ones I worked with/for/and over, that were a POS left the military in a poor financial situation, purchased too much house, too much car(s) and were willing to do everything within their power to get promoted, or remain employed, in order to meet their financial obligations. The exception was those that were perhaps in a solid financial situation, but accumulating more money was a life goal. Maybe the real answer is they were all POS's while in the military. Transitioning veterans, get your financial house in order before you leave the military. No more housing allowance, tax free combat zone pay, jump pay, etc. Are you sure you need a newer vehicle, a big house, a boat? Why put that added financial burden/pressure on yourself and your family? #veterans #vetarnshelpingveterans #marines
