✨ 2024…What a year! ✨ As 2024 draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible year of growth in my second year with eXp Realty. I started my #eXp journey in 2023 from a standing start—as a new #independentagent I was building listings during those first six months and had no idea if things were going to work out. This year, I doubled the number of sales agreed, doubled fee income, and reached a new milestone—our average house sale hit the £1million mark! (we had 34 new sales agreed with a total listed value of £34,140,000). But it’s never just about the numbers. Stepped more out of my comfort zone in 2024 by going to my first real estate investor meetup tonight at Grata Bar & Lounge - Clocktower in #LNK I had been invited to this meeting multiple times by multiple people since 2022 and each time the answer was always no. I was taught that investors don’t like real estate agents and real estate agents don’t like investors, but the more I evolved in my real estate career I realized this was false and they co-exist with each other, and the right ones help each other. And many signs have been coming my way recently to stop being so retail heavy, showing 17 homes a day to indecisive buyers and hosting 35 open houses for people that run from my help instead of take the easy way out and embrace it. I was told that millions of dollars came from people in that meetup room and asked what was holding me back? And that I need to network with other people in that room to learn. The thought of networking makes me cringe from my previous career, especially in a town where it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. For as outgoing as I may seem, I am actually quite introverted and better at being a hermit crab than a social butterfly. And for as much fluff as guest speakers give about their personal relationships that isn’t directly related to growing your business, that is the culture here in Lincoln where everyone is hyper-aware of everyone around them. But if there was one takeaway from tonight, it’s there’s many facets of real estate and if you try to be good at all of them you will be good at none of them. So find what you’re good at and stick to it. Last week was full of market activity, insights, and valuable lessons in the real estate world. Here's a quick recap: 🏠 Made several offers and began negotiating on various properties - some outdated, some on expansive acreage with pole barns, and others in dire need of repair. Each property presented its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. 🎉 Attended a stellar event hosted by REAL Brokers - gained fantastic insights into current market trends and had the chance to network with some of the best Twin Cities agents. Truly an enriching experience! 🤝 Held valuable meetings with new contacts - focused on building strategic partnerships for future deals. Expanding my network is always a priority for growth. 🔨 Checked on the progress of ongoing rehab projects - it's rewarding to see the transformations taking shape and knowing we're adding value to the community. 📈 Worked on CRMs and automation tools - enhancing the systems our team uses to keep our business running efficiently. Keeping up with technology is crucial for staying ahead. ✨ Biggest Highlight of my week - Reflecting on the fleeting nature of time. Whether it's adjusting to early sunsets at 5:30 PM, realizing how fast the year is wrapping up, revisiting deals from the start of the year, or finally closing deals that have been in the pipeline for over 8 months. Persistence truly pays off. Every moment of last week was a reminder of the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and strategic networking.
