What can the different blocs in the National Assembly hope for in the current situation? Taking power for a short time? A political career for the deputies of the Nation? Where is the interest of the French and of France? What can the French hope for in these conditions: political instability worthy of the Fourth Republic?

Yoseph Haddad, a 39-year old Arab-Israeli citizen and journalist, well-known throughout Israel, spoke recently before the Austrian Parliament about the Israel that I know as a liberal Zionist, and about the distortions by the European media and many on the American far left about Hamas’s ideology, nature and intentions vis a vis Israel. His 15-minute speech (see You-Tube link below) is a must-listen address by an Israeli-Arab who understands what this awful war is really all about and about the standing of Israeli Arabs today in Israeli society, however imperfect for Israeli-Arab citizens. The situation in the West Bank for Palestinians, however, is very different as they live under a military administration and near violent Israeli settlers and growing Palestinian terrorism. When the dust of this war settles, when Israel and the Palestinian Authority elect new political leadership with vision and a willingness to create a new path to peace, with the help of a wise and strong American President, perhaps there will emerge the will between Israelis and Palestinians actually to make peace. Listen here and share this YouTube with those you believe will be moved by Yoseph Haddad and his clear moral compass in these difficult and painful times.

The news this week points to increasing political and economic uncertainty: protests in Georgia demanding EU accession, President Macron's political turmoil in France, and President Zelensky's calls for reinforcements against advancing Russian forces. In Syria, rebel forces have taken Damascus and forced President Bashar al-Assad into exile, reshaping regional dynamics. As oil prices surge due to geopolitical tensions, the world watches closely. Stay updated on these critical developments. #7in7 #ForeignPolicyMatters #WorldWeek #GlobalPolitics #InternationalRelations #CurrentEvents #Geopolitics

This is the level of EU democracy today. All aligned or out. A political opposition is not tolerated. They pretend there’s no difference from Norway to Greece , from Portugal to Romania. The EU commissioners are corrupt. They are a danger to the lives of Europeans. Their detachment from reality is a crime for a ruling class since it jeopardizes the lives of the citizens. European Commission doesn’t know how to make neither war nor peace. EU is in a relationship of direct subordination to NATO. This will be devastating for the future of our children since NATO was born clearly to make war( we see it every day now), while the European Union was born to make peace. #EU #warmongers #corruption #elite #Compromise #conformity #Assimilation #submission #Ignorance #hypocrisy

In my recent interview with TVP World, I discussed Georgia’s deepening political crisis and the protests against the ruling Georgian Dream party. This phase reflects a strategic regrouping – and increased determination. 🔑 Three core demands of the protestors: 1️⃣ New elections under a neutral administration. 2️⃣ Release of political prisoners. 3️⃣ Accountability for election fraud and violence. ⚠️ The controversial appointment of Mikheil Kavelashvili, widely seen as anti-Western and incompetent, sends a provocative message to the West and serves as a punishment to Georgian society. Behind this move lies the influence of oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili, who controls Georgian Dream and relies on propaganda to gaslight the public and delay consequences. 🌍 However, Georgian Dream’s propaganda has failed to weaken public support for EU and NATO integration. The ongoing protests are a sign of growing cracks in the regime’s narrative. 🤝 A call to Georgia’s Western allies: Rhetoric is no longer enough. Concrete actions, such as sanctions, are needed to support Georgia’s democratic and European future. 🗣 Watch the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/dm2Matda #Georgia #Democracy #EU #NATO #TVPWorld #Politics

As we gear up for the last months of the presidential election, The 21st Century Project is asking concerned voters in the USA to pledge to support the candidates and the party that commit to a diversified and human-centered foreign policy, one that actively strives to balance power in the Greater Middle East and does not encourage, support, or reward expansionist goals by regional powers. We’ll use these signatures to demonstrate to both parties and all candidates that a powerful and committed voting block uniting many communities currently exists to push for a new foreign policy, one that encourages a comity of nations, peace rather than war, life rather than death. We’ve been told by people in power — in the parties and in academia — that nothing we do will change blind US support for Israel and Turkey. We believe that such cynicism is wrong and harmful. If politicians start losing elections because of this blind support for a handful of states, then things will change. The more people who pledge to support a diversified foreign policy in the Greater Middle East, the more room political parties and candidates will have to move away from the harmful foreign policy that has led us to genocide in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), in Palestine, and in Sudan, among other places. Please share the pledge with your family, friends, neighbors and wider community! There is power in numbers!

❝The normalisation and emboldening of such violent far-right ideologies are stark indicators of the dangerous trajectory on which France finds itself.❞ With the second round of the legislative elections happening this weekend, France is facing the prospect of a legislative assembly dominated by far-right forces. Here, Rim-Sarah Alouane, legal scholar and commentator and member of the 2023 EYL40 European Young Leaders cohort, posits that this mainstreaming of far-right ideologies poses a significant threat to vulnerable groups and social cohesion in France. The response to these challenges will shape the future resilience of unity against the far-right, in France and in Europe at large. ⤵ Read the full article below. #CriticalThinking #EYL40 #FrenchElections #FarRight
