Ever felt a nagging pain or tightness that just won't go away? It might not be your muscles alone! Fascia, the web-like connective tissue that surrounds everything from muscles to organs, can also play a role. Fascia can get tight or restricted for various reasons, like overuse, injury, or even poor posture. When this happens, it can compress the nerves and arteries that run alongside it. Think of it like kinking a garden hose – the flow gets restricted! This compression on nerves can lead to discomfort, tingling, and even numbness. It can also restrict blood flow, causing muscle fatigue and tightness. The good news? Fascia can be helped! There are various techniques like self-massage, structured movement, and foam rolling that can help loosen restricted fascia and improve circulation. Manual therapists can also be a great resource for targeted treatments. If you're experiencing chronic pain or tightness, consider fascia as a possible culprit. Why Scar Release Matters Did you know that scar tissue doesn't just affect the surgical site? It can limit your mobility, impact your posture, and even lead to pain in surrounding muscles. Addressing scar release is crucial for overall comfort and function. Dolphin NeuroStim helps restore movement and alleviate discomfort, allowing you to reclaim your quality of life! Notice this before and after. In the before, there is considerable swelling on the left side of the knee, and less so on the after picture. You'll aslo notice the actual scar is less red. There are more gaps, as the top layers of the scar are becoming less keloid. What is happening below the skin's surface 🔗 Explore how you can benefit from this innovative therapy at https://lnkd.in/gxFyq3MR or link in bio! #scarreleasetherapy #scarrelease #scartissue #painrelief #swelling #jointpain

TISSUE ISSUE TIP OF THE DAY! Pain, limited range of motion with the shoulder! When dealing with shoulder issues like limited range of motion, pain or both, general tissue work may not always be sufficient. In such cases, I often rely on Active Release Techniques (ART) for treatment. This method allows me to target specific structures—whether it’s a muscle, ligament, or tendon—with precision. For example, addressing the subscapularis was crucial in one case, leading to a significant improvement in range of motion and a noticeable reduction in pain. Oh yes, did I mention to STAY HYDRATED!! 💧 Remember... ### Understanding a Calf Strain: Medial Head of the Gastrocnemius Strain A calf strain is an injury that occurs when the muscles in the calf are overstretched or torn. Specifically, a medial head of the gastrocnemius strain affects one of the two major muscles in the calf, causing pain, swelling, and limited mobility. We often see this type of injury in athletes, particularly runners like Evan. While our trademarked “Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement™” program primarily focuses on knee issues, our philosophy and programs are designed to treat any joint or area of the body. Over the last 26 years, we have successfully treated various injuries and conditions beyond the knee, including muscle strains like this one. Regenerative medicine offers a promising option for healing and recovery.
