I am Founding Member #67 of 93% Professionals and I highly recommend it for corporate membership and individual professionals. Corporate membership is obviously most helpful for the charity, and well done Slaughter and May for being one of the 93% Professionals Founding Member Firms 👏 What do I enjoy most about 93% Professionals? ✔️ The warm and active online Slack community where state-educated professionals both within their own sector and across sectors can chat and exchange ideas ✔️ The weekly round-up emails - love a bit of know-how and they are fun ✔️ Numerous and well-organised opportunities to meet in person There are many other benefits - see post below - but these are my favourites. Being a member of 93% Professionals also - obviously - sends a strong signal that state-educated talent is welcome where you work. Easy to forget that this isn’t always obvious to those looking in to high-prestige employers. Being a member of 93% Professionals works well for professionals of all ages and I personally think it would be GREAT for state-educated solicitor apprentices.. #StateSchoolProud Sophie Pender Fin Wright Imogen Carr Ellie Wardrope
We're approaching a BIG anniversary.

Starting my own business has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life so far... Here are my take aways from my first year of operating! It has taught me resilience, and the mindset to move directionally correctly rather than wait for everything to be absolutely perfect. Results compound when you focus on getting 1% better everyday. Some people asked me "why did you want to start your own business?" and to be honest the question really made me think... I think in business (and in life for that matter), you have a choice. Go for it and see what you're really made of. Or don't try and live wondering "what if?" For those who know me I'm not a "what if" kind of person... One of the best quotes that I think about almost everyday is actually one from my dad (My father is a tradie who owned his own painting and decorating business for over 20+ years ). My dad said to me 4 words that have changed my thinking. So simple yet still hold to this day. Those 4 words? "Have a crack son" Very aussie of him I know! But if you simply show up and have a crack at whatever you're doing you'll be better than everyone else who isn't "having a crack". Time and effort compound. Mindset, courage and consistency are the key to becoming a more competent and successful person. It just happens to also pay massive dividends to your business too! My one piece of advice to anyone thinking of going out on your own... Put people and providing value as your first focus, the rest tends to follow quite quickly! Provide value and expect nothing in return and focus on building genuine relations rather than "clientele". People buy from people they like. AI or tech won't ever change that! I can't wait to repost this years down the track and see how far everything has come. Until next time!
Happy 1st Birthday to us!!! Excited to add even more value over the coming years to both our great clients and candidates! Vision. People. Growth!!! 🎂 🎊

Today marks my 🔟 anniversary at Exadel 🎉 This is a good time to reflect on why I am still here, even though sometimes I feel the urge for change. In these moments, I ask myself the following questions: - Do the company's values still match my own? - Is the company still growing? - Does my contribution still bring significant value to the company? - Does the company appreciate what I do? - Am I surrounded by professionals at a higher level that I can aspire to? - Are there people who benefit from my experience and expertise? - Is there a supportive environment here that believes in me? - Can I continue to gain new experiences here? - By working in this company, do I become stronger and more skilled both as a professional and as a person? And year after year, I get a "YES" to all these most important questions. Of course, like any company, there are challenges here, but they do not overshadow the benefits I see for my professional and personal growth. I am grateful for these 10 years and look forward to the future with optimism, expecting new opportunities and achievements 👐

As today marks the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible resilience and strength we all have within us. It’s a powerful reminder of how precious life truly is and how important it is to live each day with intention. In my latest blog post, I explore the lessons we can take from 9/11—lessons of hope, resilience, and living each day with greater awareness. My hope is that it encourages you to reflect on your own journey and find inspiration to keep moving forward. >>> https://lnkd.in/g7j6kaBu

Some dates are always special such as today, the date when we launched Silver Talkies Club six years ago in 2018, based on the inputs from attendees of our events. They wanted to meet more often, know their co-participants better and have more fun and engaging opportunities. Hence Silver Talkies Club was born in a time and age when active ageing, loneliness and isolation among older adults were not spoken about or discussed much in our country. I was in fact told by many peers that I was playing in a small niche field. Fast forward to 2024, almost every new player in the senior care space is looking at addressing similar issues with similar models. Did we start too early or did they start too late? I think it is immaterial for as they say that all's well that ends well. What is most heartening for me is to note that in the pic below all the people who became members in 2018 are still members in 2024, with the exception of one member whom we lost a few months ago. Six years of relationship still doing strong! So we must be doing something right:) Cheers to healthy ageing! #olderadults #activeageing #seniorcare #healthyageing #anniversary
Six incredible years have flown by, and today we're celebrating a remarkable milestone - Happy 6th Anniversary to the Silver Talkies Family! A heartfelt shoutout to each and every one of our amazing members who've been with us since day one, your support and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our journey. While we celebrate our triumphs, we also remember our dear friend and pioneer member, Arun Bhatia, whose spirit continues to inspire us every day. And a special mention to Akila Krishnakumar, our beacon of wisdom and guidance, thank you for being our mentor and advisor throughout this incredible journey. Here's to many more years of laughter, learning, and cherished memories together!

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. We never forget where it all starts. Whether it's a small group gathered around a kitchen table or a bustling corporate retreat filled with energy, each team comes together with one simple mission: to build a hand. It’s in these moments, amidst conversation and laughter, that real change begins. Recently, we celebrated one of those beautiful results. One of our beneficiaries has just tied the knot, and he walked down the aisle with the prosthetic hand made possible by our amazing volunteers. From monthly workshops to corporate events, this is the true impact of teamwork and care. Something that starts as a team-building exercise in a workshop turns into a life-changing moment, giving someone not just a hand, but confidence, independence, and the ability to fully embrace life’s milestones. For us at The Hand Project Nederland, this is why we do what we do. It's more than just building prosthetic hands—it's witnessing moments like these that fill us with joy and pride. It gives meaning to our work and reminds us why we love our job even more. Seeing this transformation happen before our eyes is a gift in itself. And it’s made possible by the incredible teams and individuals who come together to make a real difference. Here’s to love, empowerment, and many more stories to come. 💙

I recently made a mistake when celebrating a great month in our company. We blew away our goal and I wanted to recognize our team. Instead of just congratulating our team for their great accomplishment, I threw in the dreaded "but" at the end of it. "but, next month will most likely be much different." There was no need for me to do this. I intended to shield them from a possible letdown the following month since we always have a strong January. The "but" was not necessary at that time (and probably not at all). Celebrate your wins. Recognize the success of your team - the other stuff can wait. A well-informed team already knows of the challenges that may lie ahead and is prepared to handle them. Let celebrating your wins stand on its own. Do not dilute what your team accomplished. Interestingly, February came and they beat our target for that month as well.....and did it again in March.

Celebrating a Decade of Greatness! 🎉🎈 Friends, followers, and loyal customers! Today, we are here to celebrate a spectacular milestone: our 10th anniversary as a company! 🥳🎊 Yes, you read that right! Ten years filled with laughter, challenges, and above all, success! From our humble beginnings, we've embarked on adventures that could rival the best Hollywood movies. 🎬✨ Remember when we started in the garage next to the grandmother of diaper pants, with just a tabletop lathe and a bunch of crazy ideas? Well, since then, we've grown bigger than that bunch of crazy ideas, and that's saying a lot! We've faced more obstacles than we can count: from technical issues that made us sweat more than a marathon in the desert, to emergency meetings that kept us up until the wee hours of the night. But each challenge has made us stronger, more resilient, and, well, sometimes a bit grayer due to stress, but that doesn't matter! We keep moving forward! However, it hasn't all been hard work and tears (though there were some of those too). We've shared moments of pure joy and camaraderie. So here we are, raising our cups of coffee (or tea, or juice, or whatever makes you smile in the mornings!) to toast to another 10 years of successes, challenges, and above all, fun. Thank you for 10 incredible years! The Ejematic Team 🚀🎉 #Anniversary #Celebration #10Years #SuccessStory #CompanyMilestone #TeamSpirit #BusinessGrowth #Innovation #JourneyToSuccess #CheersToTheFuture
