This is very concerning. I understand that different jobs come with different rules and contracts, but as someone working in human resources, it doesn't sit right with me to deny medical support to any worker, even if they signed a contract that denies immediate leave for emergencies. However, in this case, they did not sign such a contract. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I recommend updating your resume and seeking legal advice to take action against the company. No job should stop you from addressing health emergencies. #jobabuse #job #employer #hr #jobunethicalbehavior

⚠️ Beware of broad language in your employment contract. ⚠️ Employers often use broad, or open-ended, wording so they can later change aspects of your job, likely without your consent. Language such as "hours defined by employer" can be problematic and should specifically state your working hours instead. Unless the details of your scheduling, work location, and other terms are explicitly stated in the contract, your employer may eventually force you to work at unexpected times or in different locations. Generally, you should negotiate your contract to be as specific as possible. Any future changes should at least be "upon mutual agreement" and not left up to interpretation. Do not just take your employer's word that things will not change, and always get the necessary terms in writing. #tiptuesday #employment #employmentlaw #employmentcontract #physicians #doctors #physicianjobs #healthcarejobs #healthcare

Just because Care Assistants and Support Workers apply for multiple jobs, doesn’t mean that: 1. They are job hoppers 2. They are too indecisive 3. They are not in care for the right reasons 4. They won’t last long 5. They have the wrong attitude 6. They’re doing it to collect benefits. The care industry has created this mentality in care staff as it’s one of the hardest vocations going. How can it still suprise you that people apply for multiple roles when we’re still nowhere near treating care staff as well as we should be doing? Stop the pre judgement of candidates before you have even heard their side of the story. #carerecruitment #retention

As a recruiter, I help many healthcare professionals explore agency work. Let me share key differences between agency and direct facility jobs... . . . . . 📄Documentation and Orientation: When working for an agency, you may need to adapt quickly to different electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation processes used by different facilities. Make sure you're comfortable with learning new systems efficiently and accurately documenting patient care. Additionally, agencies may offer limited orientation compared to hospitals, so be prepared to hit the ground running and advocate for sufficient training and support when needed. 🙋♂️Advocacy and Support: As an agency professional, you may not have the same level of support and advocacy as you would from a hospital's management and HR team. It's essential to familiarize yourself with your rights and responsibilities as a contracted employee, including understanding your contract terms, pay rates, benefits (if any), and recourse in case of disputes or issues. Building a strong relationship with your agency representative can also be valuable for addressing concerns and ensuring your needs are met. 💗Self-care and Adaptability: Agency work often requires a high level of adaptability and resilience. You may encounter different patient populations, care settings, and clinical challenges from one assignment to the next. Prioritize self-care strategies to manage stress, maintain work-life balance, and stay physically and mentally healthy amidst the demands of flexible scheduling and diverse work environments. #RecruitmentAlley #NurseLife #AgencyNurse #HospitalEmployment #HealthcareProfessionals #NursingCareer #TravelNurse #NurseJobs #ClinicalExperience #HealthcareStaffing

A humble request to all: When someone who is currently #unemployed sends you a #connectionrequest on LinkedIn, please #acceptit. Don’t judge people based on their job title or employment status. Treat others with the kindness and respect you would want for yourself. Offer help when you can, because unemployment is only temporary. Life is unpredictable, and the person you reject today might be the one you need tomorrow. Let's lift each other up and grow together. As a professional applying for roles, it is very disheartening to be treated with radio silence when applying for roles, gaining updates on roles and seeking feedback regarding your application. As a nurse I see it like I am ignoring my patients call bell or buzzer. It only needs to be a quick and simple communication back to those who have taken the time to reach out and show interest in applying to work for your organisations team. Even if it is an automated message. Are my expectations too high? Is this a reflection of the organisations standards?Thoughts? #recruitment #employer #employee #jobs #jobappocations #careers #communication #mentalhealth #HR #respect #organisations
