No matter the origin of the path this project went down, you have to acknowledge the courage it takes to stop a project this far through delivery. How many infrastructure projects of this scale do we see commence with budgets of circa $100m and then balloon to 3 or 4 times that amount. It was obviously impossible to value engineer out half of the projects cost and instead of carrying on in the hope circumstances would change and exhaust all funding, they pulled the pin. There are many more projects that are even bigger than this which should have had gateway reviews and been stopped but didn't. https://lnkd.in/geyvw2UV

I get asked the question, “What do you do?”, all the time. In the past I would respond with all the intricate tasks and objectives I need to accomplish in order to bring a project to life. I realized this response was not only convoluted and far too long, but also it didn’t capture the real difference maker that we bring to the table.
