November 14 is World Diabetes Day. However, the month of November is diabetes awareness month. CGPA is working on raising awareness and helping design public policies to modify dietary and lifestyle risk factors to save people from the disease. 33 milion Pakistanis are diabetic while another 10 million are pre-diabetic. Hundreds of amputations are happening in the country hospitals due to diabetes related complications. While it is possible to somehow manage the disease, but much better is to modify our diets and be physically active to avoid an early onset of the disease. #PreventNCDs #PreventDiabetes #WorldDiabetesDay
