Did you know that Denmark is the first wine-consuming country in the world, per capita, among the non-producing countries? Many Danes also show a keen interest in wine and like to try new products. Thus, it is highly interesting for producers to study trends on the Danish wine market. The Danes consume 28,7 liters of wine per capita per year (34.0 liters per person counting only the adult population). Out of the Danish households 73% consume wine – 66% at least once a week. Here are some strong trends in Danish wine consumption that will probably be reinforced even more in the years to come: - People prioritize food and wine pairing. The number of consumers finding grape variety important when selecting wine has increased over the two past years. - People now not only want quality food and quality wine, but lighter food and lighter wine. - White wine and rosé consumption has increased significantly. It has hitherto primarily been driven by younger consumers in the age from 18-24. As other age groups follow in their steps it can be expected that the demand for more complex rosé wines will be growing. - There is an increasing demand for organic wine, aligning with some of the prevalent general trends in Denmark: health and sustainability. Argentina food tend to be very high in protein, so grilled meats are a a staple. Argentina is South America's second largest country, snugly situated between the Andes mountain range, the Pacific Ocean, and the South American countries of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and Chile. Being situated in such a manner, Argentina is exposed to many different cultural influences from all directions, including countries all the way across the Pacific. Spain took it upon themselves to permanently settle in the country in the late 1500s, and remained there until Buenos Aires formally emancipated themselves in 1853. One of the most remarkable differences between Argentine Cuisine and exotic cuisines from around the world is the heavy influence that the cuisine of the Italian and Spanish cultures had on it. only seen on the Argentine table, at least in the country's major cities. Unusually enough (when it comes to Italian food), white bread is also common, as are side dishes made of vegetables native to Argentina, such as potatoes, egg plants, squash, cucumbers, and zucchini.
