𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐣𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 participated in a 📣📻radio discussion, broadcasted by the national radio, ‘𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭?’👩🏻⚖️👨🏼⚖️ This discussion, inspired by the latest practices of selection and of judges, was held among a wide circle of stakeholders: President of the Council for the Judiciary of Lithuania, Chief legal advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania and two Members of the Parliament. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐞 has underlined: ✔️practise of the European Court of Human Rights in the area; ✔️requirements of international bodies for the procedures of selection and appointment of judges; ✔️the fact that the requirements for the candidates have to remain the same during all phases of the selection procedure; ✔️the fact that the last stage of Lithuanian selection procedure could be improved. The Rukunegara is not a law, per se. It has been gazetted as a royal decree, but the legal qualities of royal decrees require qualification, which may or may not be easy. However, there are Malaysian laws which address disrespect and disaffection in breadth, particularly with regards to royalty. So a mechanism for prosecution of a crime of any behaviour in the context of the Rukunegara appears to be, within the context of disrespect or disaffection for royalty, specifically a royal decree.

The Indonesian government, through Government Regulation No. 21 of 2024 on Amendment to Government Regulation No. 25 of 2020 on the Implementation of Public Housing Saving (Tabungan Perumahan Rakyat/ “Tapera”), which amends the Government Regulation No. 25 of 2020 on the Implementation of Public Housing Saving. Tapera, which is not a newly enacted policy, was introduced through Law No. 4 of 2016 on Public Housing Savings. It is a crucial component of the Indonesian government's efforts to promote public housing.
