Powering India's Clean Energy Future: Grid Integration of Renewables & EVs Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH hosted a successful training program on "Grid Integration of Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles: Best Practices and Emerging Trends" from July 15th to 17th, 2024. This workshop was conducted in collaboration with DNV and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and took place in Leh, Ladakh. Utilities in India are currently in the middle of a significant transformation, driven by Renewable energy and its integration. Electric Vehicles are also a developing topic that has attracted traction round the globe. Distribution companies (DISCOMs) need a comprehensive understanding of renewable integration and its challenges to adapt. The 3-day training was tailored for officers of Ladakh PDD responsible for grid management and renewable integration in their organization Participants gained a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding renewable energy and electric vehicle integration.
