Urgent: Unfair Treatment at International Expo Seafood 2024 Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the unfair treatment experienced by Wrigcoll Enterprise Inc. at the International Expo Seafood 2024 event. As an organization dedicated to serving our community through charitable initiatives, it was disheartening to witness the disregard shown towards us, particularly in contrast to the preferential treatment given to larger entities such as the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). Despite our longstanding commitment to philanthropy, highlighted by our recognition as an Amazon Charity Spotlight recipient since 2019, we were marginalized and overlooked at the event. It is especially troubling considering that we provided support in 2023.The absence of the GBFB, coupled with Diversified Communications' apparent bias against international seafood in favor of other exhibitors, further exacerbated our sense of exclusion. What adds insult to injury is the fact that I have personal connections with the staff at GBFB, including Brian and Food For Free over 5 years, whom I have assisted during my time at FOOD FOR FREE.As an Afro-American individual leading a team of urban neighbors in Boston, many of whom fall outside the GBFB's umbrella, I am acutely aware of the challenges faced by marginalized communities in accessing essential resources. At Wrigcoll Enterprise Inc., we operate on a modest budget, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. However, our efforts were unfairly overshadowed by larger organizations with significantly greater financial resources. This disparity not only undermines our mission but also perpetuates systemic inequalities within our community. Furthermore, it is important to note that participating in events such as the International Expo Seafood 2024 entails significant financial investments on our part. The resources expended to prepare for this annual event represent a substantial portion of our operating budget, making the unfair treatment we received all the more detrimental to our organization's sustainability. It is particularly distressing to learn that potential donors who approached us with offers of support were redirected or discouraged from contributing to our cause by individuals like Brian and Sara. This unjust interference not only deprives us of much-needed resources but also undermines the trust and goodwill we have diligently cultivated over the years. In light of these troubling developments, I urge you to address these issues promptly and transparently. It is imperative that all participants in charitable endeavors are afforded equal opportunities to make a positive impact, regardless of their size or financial standing.I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a constructive resolution that upholds the principles of fairness and inclusivity. Sincerely, https://lnkd.in/ewnzwkkV

Let me introduce myself. I'm Dave. I love wine 🍷. I love food 😋 I have two businesses that donate back to nonprofits. 1) One Hope Wine: I co-host wine fundraisers. You gather your friends and get pairings to share. We take a trip to Napa Valley with a selection of 6 wines. I guide you thru thru the wines and people choose their favorites and place an order to be delivered to their home. 10% of each purchase is given to a nonprofit you choose. 2) Pampered Chef: I co-host a fundraiser either online or in-person. Invite your friends to am online event about 4 days long and there are games, recipes, and cooking suggestions. People place orders for household and cooking items. 10%-15% will be donated to a nonprofit you choose. I love my businesses and helping you raise money for Causes You Believe In!! Let me know if either or both these fundraisers sound fun!! I Put the FUN in FUNdraising!! CHEERS 🥂

This is about tradition and spiritual connection. Two things we need more of these days. Thinking of others instead of focusing on yourself so much is one of the most important aspects of life. Take a look at this interesting story and journey.
Like the lines of a scallop shell, we all take different paths to the same destination. The Pilgrims of Pearse has set forth on our journey from the Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James Church in the Liberties, Dublin. It is a momentous occasion to start this journey here at the distillery, which holds profound familial and cultural connections. The Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of St. James, is a historic network of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain. Constructed around 1190 AD, St James in Dublin church historically marked the starting point for numerous pilgrims embarking on their personal journeys to Spain. While our group skipped the sea crossing from mainland Europe to Spain (as seen in this amazing film, The Camino Voyage: https://bit.ly/3UZ69zr) favoring an easier air route, our ultimate destination remains unchanged. Just like pilgrims have for over 800 years, our minds are trained on Santiago and our feet will carry us the rest of the way. To add an extra layer of significance to our journey, we’ve crafted custom lapel pins in the shape of a shell, which I am carrying with me and offering to supporters of our adventure. In tribute to my father’s legacy of making a difference, we're launching a special fundraising initiative for the Pearse Lyons ACE Foundation. Donations of all sizes are welcome. Those who donate $100 or more to the foundation will receive one of the pins that I am carrying in my backpack throughout the journey, along with a note. https://bit.ly/3WqzQKL Stay tuned for progress updates from the Camino and our fundraiser, which has raised $6,500 so far! Thank you to so many who have already supported us. Buen Camino!

From today until Christmas Eve, Coles team members will be helping to spread festive cheer by raising funds for SecondBite to help feed Aussies in need. Funds raised for the Coles SecondBite Christmas Appeal will enable SecondBite to rescue quality, nutritious food and redistribute it to over 1000 local charities, community groups and food banks nationwide. In addition to raising funds, team members will also help pack food hampers and prepare meals for SecondBite and their charity partners in the lead up to Christmas. SecondBite CEO Daniel Moorfield said “The funds raised will help us provide ongoing food relief to those who need it most and address the increased need that our charity partners face over the holidays.” Coles Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer Anna Croft said “Together with our customers and suppliers Cadbury, Remedy Drinks, DASH Water and Local Brewing Co., we are aiming to raise enough funds this Christmas to help provide the equivalent of over five million meals to help feed Australians in need.” Customers can support the Christmas Appeal by purchasing a $2 donation card at a Coles supermarket, with each $2 card sold enabling SecondBite to provide the equivalent of up to ten meals. Donations will also be accepted at any Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars.
