Saving the lives of unwanted horses

The first of many annual holiday photos and, naturally, Valentina was the horse I chose. I love everything about this photo. I love that Val’s eyes are closed. I love that mine are open. I love that this fantastic blazer is far too large for me now. I love that the bow on Val’s forelock is sideways. I love that the friend who took this photo cared enough to snap 50 which gave me this. I love that the only tree decorated is the one on the driveway next to the wash of our Mountain Springs (just west of Las Vegas) home. I love that the ornaments look photoshopped (have I aged myself?) but were real. I love knowing that I found ornaments in the wash for years to follow. These are the big joys that looking at one old photo offer. Here’s hoping everyone has this sort of photo that can be viewed now! BixRoHorseHaven.org
