Here's our mini Q&A: ❓ What are you looking forward to most in this role? 💬 Tayla: A good work environment, work ethic and sufficient time for completing my work. WHEN BAD OPERATIONS FORCE CHURN This picture was taken two weeks ago on a working weekday at PortAventura World. It was the amazing Shambala where I spent 4 hours and 15 minutes queuing for a single attraction.🎢 I felt broken, disappointed, burnt by the sun, my knees hurt. 😭 Most of the people in the queue were repeating in unison three things: - this is unacceptable - this does not happen in The Walt Disney Company Eurodisney - I will never come back again This is pure churn. People who will not come back again. But they will also discourage their friends. ❌ At least, that was how it worked the 2️⃣ days I visited it, when according to their planning was low season. Some might say this has been designed on purpose in order to make more people pay the fast past. But I still have my doubts.😵💫 You can be the best at marketing, sales, price, merchandising… but if you fail in operations, you are dead.🧐 Same applies to hashtag #retail, if you set the expectations so high and you fail to commit, you are dead. Exactly what happens with many smart fitting rooms 🤟

You know what has surprised me since I started working at TAS? From my experience with my other jobs, whether it was retail or even being a flight attendant, I know it is real rare for people to stop what they are doing and help you. Here at TAS, even if they are busy, people in the team will make time for you and see what you need help with. Even if they're really busy, they'll find some time for you. But that's not the only thing that surprised me. I know that sounds silly, but I didn't expect everyone to know what they were doing. From the start of the week, people know what they have to do, when they need to complete it by. and they're so determined to make sure their clients are happy. Which is really rare. Not a lot of people take time out of their day off to make sure they're ready for the new week, but here at TAS they do just that. So, it's really nice knowing that everyone is locked in and has a game plan for their week. Since becoming a full time employee here at TAS, I've honestly learnt so much! Whether it be from the account managers, the copywriting team, or the video team, everyone has blessed me with skills that I never knew were possible. But I think the main thing I have learnt is self improvement. You cannot please a client until you have cleared your mind of everything else. I am learning to be locked into my work, steer away from distractions, acknowledge what distracts me and how to make it a positive, relaxing environment for me to do my work. I am really glad I have discovered that because it takes some people a long time to work that out. But when you're surrounded by great people and great minds, you learn real quick.

A CEO asked a bartender, “ Would you be interested in being a personal finance advisor?” My colleague - “ I know nothing about personal finance”. “I can teach you about personal finance. What I can’t teach is  - how to interact with people”. Even though my colleague didn’t take up the offer, he: -> Transitioned from restaurants to tech. -> Became a product manager in tech. -> Got promoted in less than a year at every job in tech. I asked him his number one secret. Without hesitation, he said, “I can build meaningful relationships with people.” I agreed. I’ve seen him in action first-hand. He can: -> Make you laugh. -> Make you feel comfortable almost instantly. -> Make you feel heard. We’ve all heard this before. But how do you make this happen? I sat down with him for a proper chat. Here’s what I learned: 1) Treat people the way you want to treat yourself : Reframe any interaction. Ask “Would I  treat myself the same way?” 2) Embrace an opposing point of view : Respect the other person’s opinions even if they don’t match your own 3) Greet people at work everyday : A simple ,t “Hello, Good Morning” in the hallway  can go a long way. My first job was as a hostess/cashier, and I absolutely loved it.From meeting new people to experiencing different cultures, it was a whirlwind of excitement. I’m naturally warm and hospitable, so this role was a perfect fit. And let’s not forget the thrill of my first paycheck Maan!!!🙌 Finally, I could cover my own bills, do some shopping for my place, and feel that sweet independence. You know😀 As a kid, I dreamed of becoming an air hostess, but landing a job as a hotel hostess turned out to be just as amazing. Here are some fun lessons I picked up from my very first job: 1. People Skills: I learned how to connect with different guests and really listen. 2. Cultural Awareness: Meeting people from all walks of life opened my eyes to new perspectives. 3. Problem-Solving: I quickly learned how to handle surprises with a smile. 4. Teamwork: A great team makes the work fun and effortless. 5. Work Ethic: Being responsible and punctual became second nature. 6. Customer Service: Sometimes, a simple kind word can turn someone’s day around.
