Cipla USA proudly kicked off its first-ever #WalkingTogether for Cancer Survivors month-long fundraising campaign this week, an extension of the recently concluded 'Crossing the Nation for Cancer Survivors' initiative by the American Cancer Society, supporting the 31 Hope Lodge communities across the US. These communities provide essential free lodging to cancer patients and their families when treatment requires them to be far from home, significantly improving their quality of life. During this campaign, we challenge all #CiplaUSA colleagues to a virtual step challenge, aimed at promoting physical activity and enhancing employee health and well-being. This challenge symbolically mirrors the cancer patient journey from diagnosis to survivorship, highlighting inspirational survivor stories and emphasizing messages of hope, strength, and determination. A heartfelt thank you to our teams supporting all aspects of the campaign and cause. On April 2, 2024, Ramon Bermo, David Grier, and team embarked on an extraordinary journey to raise awareness for the 31 Hope Lodge communities across the United States. Each ran 31 miles every day, symbolizing the number of Hope Lodge communities in the US, with one starting from New York City and the other from San Francisco. They navigated rough terrains, made difficult life-changing decisions, and were pushed beyond their limits. This expedition mirrored the path of a cancer patient: the start line symbolized the day of diagnosis, the subsequent days represented the fierce battle against cancer, and the finish line at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Omaha on June 2, 2024, embodied the triumph of survivorship. It’s a story of struggle, hope, and forming bonds with those who share the same journey. We at Cipla USA are incredibly proud of the efforts and sacrifices made by the entire team who initiated this campaign and, most importantly, completed it. Their commitment has inspired us all, and we are deeply grateful for the awareness and support generated for the #HopeLodge communities, a place that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients, providing them with a home away from home. Recently, our New York interns joined forces with #KeepIslipClean to give back to the community at Central Islip Community Park. Through their efforts in cleaning up the park, they not only enhanced the environment but also demonstrated the core values of service and teamwork that mirror our culture at Cipla. We at Cipla USA are proud of their commitment and look forward to continuing our support for community-enhancing initiatives.

Our incredible team came together with passion and dedication, making the 10th Annual #LUNGFORCEWalk (our 2nd) event one of the most memorable yet. Not only did we have the opportunity to support a cause close to our hearts, but we also surpassed our donation goal for a 2nd straight year. Thank you to everyone, including friends and family, who contributed and walked with our Cipla USA team - and a special thank you to our colleagues who put together another memorable outing.
