The UAE crypto market has experienced remarkable growth, becoming the region's third-largest crypto economy, according to Chainalysis' 2024 Geography of Crypto Report. #Ireland is preparing urgent cryptocurrency regulations ahead of the introduction of #EU standards to combat money laundering and limit cash payments to €10,000

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority ("FSRA") of Abu Dhabi Global Market ("ADGM") has proposed new regulations to support the issuance of fiat-referenced tokens (FRTs), a type of stablecoin intended for use as a payment method. The consultation paper outlines a risk-based approach to regulation, drawing on international standards. The public has until October 3, 2024, to provide feedback.
