We have had several people reaching out from law enforcement agencies to partner with Skull Games. I'm attaching a link to our law enforcement request form. If you hop on and fill this out, I'll get with you to schedule a time we can chat to see what we can do! I apologize if I have missed any inquiries through LinkedIn, but this is the best place to reach out! On the page, you can request analytical and operational support, training, schedule meetings, or register your agency as a law enforcement partner. Please limit this to law enforcement and prosecuting offices only, as other partnership links can be found at the bottom of the main page. #lawenforcement #humantrafficking #sextrafficking #police #sheriff #intelligence #osint #osintforgood #osint4good #lawenforcementtraining

We must start recognizing the commonalities involved among law enforcement involved killings of unarmed black and brown citizens in our country. Former Deputy Grayson worked at six (six!!!) different law enforcement agencies in four years in the state of Illinois! Whether law enforcement or other professional fields, this would be a legitimate concern for any hiring manager. In public service, specifically public safety, we cannot allow the “good ole boy” or “buddy system” continue to flourish and protect those who should be held more accountable and frankly, don’t need to be trusted with keeping us safe. Passing troubled officers on to the next department is not the answer! It will only end in disaster for someone’s community. Possibly even yours. We ongoingly highlight the need for updated standard operating procedures, but we must start where it begins and that’s during the hiring and selection process. Hiring practices must be consistent with community needs and we need unapologetic leaders within our local governments and LEO agencies that are willing to do so! #EndGunViolence

With over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, maintaining my professional square has always been my mantra. "Staying in Your Professional Square" is a critical de-escalation concept that I have been teaching since I started instructing Crisis Intervention Team training in 2010. This approach helps individuals stay safe, prevent conflicts from escalating, and protect their integrity during challenging situations. Stepping outside of this professional boundary can lead to damaging consequences for your reputation and professional life. This concept is valuable for all public-facing employees, including police and transit workers, to effectively manage conflicts and maintain professionalism in their interactions. . #creativity #originality #deescalation #crisisawarenesstraining

A recent article in Government Technology discusses efforts in Syracuse (NY) to outfit its code enforcement team with body-cameras and some of the challenges the Ben Walsh administration and Jake Dishaw are facing in moving forward. While there are real concerns (i.e. privacy) that need to be addressed, MuniReg will always support initiatives that protect the health and safety of code enforcement personnel. Wishing City of Syracuse and all other communities contemplating this approach the best of luck! Introducing the Camera Registry Program 🔎 Dear Residents, In our continuous effort to foster a safer community, we are proud to introduce the Camera Registry Program, a collaborative initiative between local law enforcement and community members. This program is designed to utilize technology already in place at many of our homes – security cameras – to aid in crime prevention and investigation efforts. How Does the Program Work? Voluntary Registration: Homeowners and businesses with exterior security cameras are encouraged to voluntarily register their devices with the local police department. Registration is straightforward and does not grant law enforcement direct access to your footage. Confidentiality Assured: The details of your camera system, including its location, are securely maintained by law enforcement for investigative purposes only. Aid in Crime Solving: In the event of a crime, registered camera locations can be quickly identified as potential sources of evidentiary footage. Police will contact you directly to request access to any footage deemed relevant to their investigation. Strengthen Community Safety: By participating, you play an integral role in crime prevention in our community. This program turns individual security systems into a comprehensive safety net. Community Partnership: This program epitomizes the power of community-law enforcement partnership, leveraging technology to enhance safety and solve crimes more efficiently. Why Participate? Becoming part of the Community Camera Registry Program is a proactive step towards a safer neighborhood. It’s an opportunity for us all to contribute to the safety and security of our community with minimal effort and no cost. Your participation is a testament to the strength of our community spirit and our shared commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Join Us Together, we can make a significant impact on public safety in our community. Thank you for considering participation in this vital initiative. #CommunitySafety #CrimePrevention #NeighborhoodWatch #SecurityCameras #SafetyFirst #CommunityPartnership #PublicSafety #SafeCommunity #BeTheChange #LocalHeroes #CameraRegistryProgram #AlisonMossGroup

One of the fundamental principles of CPTED is natural surveillance, which emphasizes the importance of visibility and the ability to observe one’s surroundings. Well-lit areas enable residents, pedestrians, and law enforcement to easily identify potential threats or criminal activity. Well-illuminated streets, public spaces, and building precincts create an environment where people feel safer and encourage nighttime activity. https://lnkd.in/e2FzxUfb

Outstanding article. Well researched and based on data. Policing is dangerous and not just in a big city.
What if I told you that more than half the officers shot and killed in 2023 were from the small towns and rural places I write about? What if I told you I have *FIVE YEARS* of data to back up that claim- but no one (with power to make a difference) is listening? My Police Week article is out on Police1 . Maybe this is the year that police leadership, legislators, and beancounters hear what I have to say: Mayberry is a myth. The risks rural officers face are real. Make some noise with me.
