There are some great jobs around on some fantastic yachts with great packages and salaries. There are also some fantastic crew agents around. Then there are these shocking packages/salaries that some boats are offering . What do people expect to get paying terrible salaries or shocking leave packages. I’d be embarrassed as a Captain/HOD to even post some of the job opportunities I’m seeing of late. Paying deckhands 2k euro a month or a head chef job for 5k on a 60m plus for example or 30 days leave per year. How do you expect anyone to perform to there maximum only going home 1 month a year or there is pay your own flight home. It’s embarrassing and I personally feel like the quality of crew is going down the toilet. Plus the amount of lies we see on CVs about over exaggerated sea time or true non smoker , then it’s im a social smoker/vaper. Non visible tattoos 😂 yes if you wore a jumper.
