EastSide Centre and the City of East Peoria are seeking a new leader for the indoor gym and fitness facility at the sports complex. The Fitness Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility's gymnasium, indoor track, recreational areas, workout areas, classrooms, and subordinate staff members.   The Fitness Manager oversees all indoor programming,  group exercise and Tae Kwon Do classes, personal and athletic training, fitness equipment, and areas of usage by members and guests alike. The Manager acts as a direct liaison between the EastSide Centre fitness staff and its’ fitness center members and guests.   Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the ability to develop marketing plans for the fitness center including the development of new programs, putting an emphasis on increasing membership sales, maintaining community branding, and creating a satisfying customer service experience for all members. A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Physiology, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred. Can be substituted with extensive experience in a similar position and with a certification in the following: ACE, ACSM, Cooper, AFFA, NCSF, NSCA, or CSCS. The anticipated pay range is $50,000-$60,000 annually DOQE. A minimum of two to three years’ management experience is preferred. A percentage of membership sales and/or personal training may be negotiated in salary. Must possess excellent organizational, oral, and written skills. Successful completion of a background check and drug screen required.  Residency within 25 miles is a requirement. This position will require working some evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
