Investing in #UniversalHealthCoverage (UHC) is vital for advancing #equity and ensuring the fundamental right to #HealthForAll. On this #UHCDay, we also honour #HumanRightsDay, recognising that access to health is integral to human dignity. This is a time to speak up against inequality, generate evidence, and mobilise action for human rights—because health is a human right that must be protected for all. 🙏 📣Who you are and where you live should not determine the quality of care you receive.

For this week’s #HumanRightDay and #UHCDay, we reaffirm the fundamental belief that every human being deserves dignity, equality and justice. True equality cannot exist without access to basic healthcare. That’s why on #UHCDay, we emphasize the mission to ensure both #HumanRights and #HealthForAll. Philanthropy has a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on both human rights and health. By supporting initiatives that promote Universal Health Coverage (UHC), we can help guarantee that every person, regardless of their income or background, can access essential health services. Let’s use our influence and resources to advocate for a world where human rights and healthcare go hand in hand. Because good health is a human right, and we must prioritize putting this into practice.

Today we commemorate the day in 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is a reminder that every person deserves to live with dignity, freedom and the right to health services they need them, and where they need them, free from discrimination and without suffering financial hardship. Please join us to ensure health centers have the resources they need to continue providing culturally competent primary care to our underserved communities. #HumanRightsDay #HumanRightsDay2024 #ValueCHCs #CommunityHealth #HealthCenters #PrimaryCare #HealthPolicy

Human rights and public health are closely intertwined, as access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. Ensuring that all individuals have access to quality healthcare services is essential for promoting overall well-being and reducing health disparities. By upholding human rights principles such as non-discrimination, equality, and dignity, we can create a more just and equitable healthcare system. It is crucial for governments, organizations, and individuals to work together to protect and promote human rights in the context of public health. Together, we can build a healthier and more inclusive society for all. NextGenU.org Humanitarian U #HumanRights #PublicHealth #HealthForAll
