It was an absolute pleasure to be featured as a guest speaker on Unwritten: Stories of Significance hosted by Karen Foster presented on RogersTV🎙️📺! The theme for these two episodes was “Patients and Persistence.” The interview covered my thoughts on medicine, the need for resilience, acknowledging small victories and the humility in embracing collaboration in the interdisciplinary environment of medicine. I had a great time speaking with Joy!! The full interview from Episode 1 is being broadcasted locally on RogersTV Dufferin-Caledon and Barrie and is also available on the RogersTV website: https://lnkd.in/gYTRK9D2 Episode 2 to be airing soon!

Our CEO/Co-owner, Rick Barney MBA, MSW, LCSW, LCAS and Medical Director and Executive Director, Gabrielle Neal-Barney MMS,PA-C,CAQ-P presenting to members of AIS on one of the things Momentum Recovery does best, addressing relapse from an attachment based perspective. One thing I appreciate most about our philosophy is the fact that relapse in and of itself does not automatically constitute an administrative discharge from our program but, highlights the need to address other factors in a higher level of care internally. It’s our job to re-create a healthy family system for our clients and foster an environment of secure attachment.
ICYMI: All of us at Momentum Recovery were thrilled to take part in the Association of Intervention Specialists Conference this week, right here on the North Carolina shore! 🌊🐚 It has been a great few days so far of connecting and learning with the larger recovery community. Our Medical Director, Gabi Neal-Barney, and Co-Founder & CEO, Rick Barney, added some of their own invaluable knowledge and perspective to the conference’s takeaways with their presentation Redefining Success: An Attachment Based Approach to Navigating Relapse. Thank you to all who participated and attended! See you again soon!

Funny because it's true!? SPOT Imaging recognizes how hard lab personnel work and we strive to design solutions to make it go a little better. Let us show you how. https://lnkd.in/g6nThfJY #Labtech #Histology #specimen #Pathologyassistant #cytology #digitalpathology.
Here are some Myths about Lab technologists that we decided to have some fun with. However, this is by no means a true depiction of how we go about doing our jobs as healthcare professionals nor is this a representation of any organization we are associated with. HAPPY LAB WEEK ALL. Have a blast! 🔬

👓 Double Your Pleasure, Double Your Fun? 🌀 No one said ortho-k was easy, and that's part of its appeal! The challenge and unpredictability keep things interesting, and the life-changing benefits for patients make it all worthwhile. Dr. Andrew Brauer shares an intriguing case study of a 12-year-old patient named Lily (name changed for privacy). Lily, diagnosed with myopia at age 9, tried atropine drops and multifocal contacts with little success. Her journey led her to ortho-k, where the unexpected twists provided valuable learning experiences. From double red rings to air bubble issues, every step taught something new. Lily’s story is a testament to the perseverance and adaptability required in ortho-k treatment. Check out the full article for a deep dive into the case and Dr. Brauer’s insights. 🔍 Learn more in the AAOMC Newsletter, Corrected View E-Tea: https://lnkd.in/grUQdMRu
