The City of Wanneroo proudly sponsored The Periscope Crew documentary, EVERYWHERE, a piece put together by a talented team of young film makers with a disability. Last year, The Periscope Crew captured the World Transplant Games held in Perth. The 30km cycling event Ride Wanneroo was held at the Wanneroo Raceway. Through the Games, The Periscope Crew captured stories shared by the athletes and created daily film content for the organisers, which prompted the creation of documentary EVERYWHERE.
BREAKING NEWS! Well something surreal happened last night. We won not one but two awards at the Australia Independent Film Festival: WINNER Best Documentary Short Film WINNER People's Choice Short Film Wow - just wow. Well done to our Crew members Kate, Chloe and Claire who represented the Crew at the Festival. They used their winners' speeches to talk about the importance of organ donation, and of how we hope that everybody who sees Everywhere thinks about what real inclusion could look like - in the world, in employment and in the film industry. Thank you to our transplant athlete bestie Emmy O'Neill who came to the festival with her family and to film sponsors Bernie Thorpe and Melanie Thorpe who celebrated the World Premiere with us as well. Congratulations to everybody who has believed in us from the start. Today is for our whole Crew family!
