Halloween is packed with lots of odd traditions, but do you know where they really come from? Let's dive in. Dressing up on Halloween goes back to a really ancient Celtic festival sawing. People believed that on this night the line between the living and the dead was blurred. So they will costumes to basically hide themselves from the spirits. And what about those carved pumpkins? Did you know that they weren't always pumpkins? They used to use turnips. Imagine seeing glowing turnips. All over your neighbors lawn. Odd. And then there's the trick. Or treating. This actually started in the Middle Ages, and believe it or not, it was not caught trick-or-treating Dan. It was actually called Soling. Kids used to go from door to door offering prayers for the dead in exchange for food. Sound familiar?
