What do you do if your child doesn't want to do lessons? I speak to thousands of parents all the time and even more students, and I'm used to this conversation. Many students are very enthusiastic about lessons, but if we're honest, studying as hard work and not everybody is as enthusiastic about it as others. What I always say is focus on the benefit. Imagine you're going on a holiday. You don't talk about the journey and the plane, the long hours waiting. You always talk about the vacation, sitting on the beach, drinking your lovely mojito. I would say when you're speaking to your children, focus of where they want to go. And then work backwards. If they want to be a doctor, an engineer, what do they need to do in order to get there? Empower your children to make them feel that this is their future and you're supporting them towards that. If they're still hesitant about lessons, let them try it out. Because once they see the results and the benefit that they're joining, they will automatically want to do more. Results is the best way to motivate people. Just like when you go to the gym, if you begin to go, it's always very difficult, but the moment you see the difference, you continue to go.
