FUSILLI Project is participating the #ASVISSustainabilityFestival #FestivalSviluppoSostenibile through the City of Roma Capitale as stakeholder partner in the project INCREASE-project, Agriculture Environment and Waste cycle department chaired by Sabrina Alfonsi . The Project General Meeting event is lasting the entire day of May 7th. After that, the project's partners have been invited for 3 days at FAO headquarters. The event will gather dozens of #Universities, #Experts and #Citizens in the Città metropolitana di Roma Capitale beautiful Council Hall for a research and institutional session in the morning, and workshops in the afternoon. A focus on the #CitizenScience experimentalProject participated by 28 universities, research centres, stakeholders and citizens' communities in Europe and beyond: https://lnkd.in/dvPFyaBN for the study and development of #pulses seeds, adopted and exchanged by the citizens of the #UrbanCommunityGardens of Rome who are entrusted to monitor the growth. To contribute to the development of new varieties by crossing and selecting specific variants with and to improve efficient and effective conservation tools and methods to foster #biodiversity in European environment, and tnutrition through healthy diets that include more legumes. Focusing on the food legumes #chickpea, common #bean, #lentil and #lupin, the Project aim is to implement a new approach to conserve, manage and characterise genetic resources through participatory research.

🎨 MONØL1TE — An Artwork of Resilience and Rebirth 🌟 Months ago, with enthusiasm we announced the selection of kobose for the “Storm Grant” that hit Milan exactly one year ago, on July 24 and 25. From that sad event, a call, an initiative was born to raise awareness about climate change and bring art to the public by repurposing the wood from fallen trees. Now, after months of work recovering the trunks, preliminary transformations, and patiently waiting for the minimum drying time to give a purpose to these noble materials, we are finally in the final stages. The MONØL1TE artifact is ready, the documentary is in progress, and we are finalizing the brand, website, press release, and informational materials for the official presentation that will take place at the Milan Green Week in September (26-29). A project that will involve many parks in the city, thus giving new life to the fallen. Thanks to the Milan Councillor for Environment and Green Spaces, Elena Grandi, and her team, for believing in this project and for their commitment to bringing art and rebirth to the parks of our city. This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable operational and technical support of Umberto Villa and the entire Villa Scale team, who have worked tirelessly to make MONØL1TE a tangible reality. Not to mention our wealth of knowledge and discovery (from essences to people) acquired during the time spent in the carpentry, which is worth as much as a centuries-old oak.
