Universal Window and Door was featured in High Profile's December Sustainability Issue for contributing their high-performance, triple-pane 1060 Series historic replica windows to WinnCompanies Stone Lofts in Lawrence, one of the first all-electric mixed-income multifamily properties in Massachusetts, which completed the transformation of a 19th-century mill into 86 apartments. Stone Lofts was designed by The Architectural Team and constructed by Keith Construction Inc. both of which have longstanding partnerships with Universal on historic renovation projects. https://lnkd.in/e-7XYACu

West Loop Development Update, Foundation Piles Permitted For Bathhouse At Madison And Morgan In The West Loop A new construction permit was issued Friday, January 24, to allow for driving foundation piles that will support a three-story bathhouse at Madison and Morgan Streets in the West Loop. Fulton St. Companies is building the facility for Bathhouse, a Brooklyn, NY company, to occupy. The building replaces a surface parking lot, which earlier this decade was to be replaced by a 10-story condominium development, also under Fulton St.’s leadership. https://lnkd.in/gaEKzQ3j

DA Submitted: Excited to have collaborated with Ethos Urban, Bates Smart, for the Salter Brothers 12 Steel Street project. The project aims to deliver high-quality housing, retail opportunities, and community-focused spaces, on a prime site near Newcastle’s Honeysuckle precinct. 12 Steel Street will add to the city’s dwindling housing stock, with plans for two residential towers of 23 and 19 storeys at 12 Steel Street, about 2km west of the city centre. The changing landscape down the Valley... Talbot Valley! Proud to have been involved with this site right from the very beginning... well, from the point at which it was sold to WCL (my Development Company) by the heirs of the estate. WCL then set about making some sense of the site, an overgrown, disintegrating cluster of protected and historic buildings, quite literally falling down. With the help of PF+A we got to work, clearance, surveys, making the site safer, and design. The strategy was to sub-divide the site, parceling up to make each building more manageable and attractive to invest in by a plucky developer or self builder. It worked, Peter Falla jumped in and bought the Hayloft site and a family bought the main Farmhouse along with the middle barn. The roofless barn was bought by another party. PF+A have worked their magic and achieved approvals on all the buildings unlocking a new era for the site, and the Valley. It has been a challenge, but wonderful to see the transformation and now new life brought to these historic buildings, saved for future generations. #protectedbuildings #architecture #development #newhomes PF+A

The safety of all on site is our utmost priority. . 🛡️ 19,900 hours completed by dedicated workers who have battled heat and challenging conditions within historic buildings, meticulously saving and inventorying each historically significant piece and rehabilitating historic windows. It’s solid, hard work, but the rewards are immense as we witness the transformation into 51 new apartments. . 💬 The saying, "they don't build 'em like they used to" rings true in the hallways of Shimer Square. Solid craftsmanship went into building these structures, and we’re proud that solid craftsmanship is shaping its future. . Surveyor Jordan Stokes emphasised the prime location's appeal, benefiting from strong transport links and a diverse mix of businesses. Allenby is also progressing with the transformation of Europa House into Monocle, offering 60,000 sq ft of space, and expanding at Base, Hull, which now houses 75 businesses.
