While we knew fairly early on that venues would be critical for us , we earned close to nothing from the category for the majority of our tenure . We could see the customer demand on the platform- it was slowly becoming the #1 category in terms of demand , but the revenue just wouldn’t shape up . We threw every possible model at it - transactional / subscription / assisted visits/ lead wallets / packages / booking amounts etc but no matter what , the lack of growth in venues was honestly infuriating and the metric would not budge for the first 6 years of our existence . In the last 2.5 years however , our venue revenue grew 500% . We expect venues to contribute to atleast 50% of our revenue in the future and become our most critical category . What did we do differently ? Nothing . We just persisted , chipping away bit by bit - Sometimes it’s really a matter of time for the market to mature , and ensure product market fit .

How to Enjoy an Evening with Geisha for Just ¥30,000: Perfect for Families in Kagurazaka, Tokyo Many people find the idea of an evening with Geisha to be intimidating. Indeed, even among Japanese, very few have experienced a Geisha banquet (Ozashiki Asobi). Most do not know how to arrange such an event, and many traditional teahouses refuse first-time visitors. Moreover, the cost of a Geisha banquet often exceeds ¥100,000 per person, making it inaccessible for most people. However, what if you could enjoy a Geisha entertainment, including a meal, for just ¥30,000 per person? At this price, many might consider indulging in a Geisha banquet occasionally. With the current extreme yen depreciation, foreign travelers might find this price quite cheap. At the current exchange rate, it is less than USD 200, comparable to a regular restaurant meal in the United States, without the Geisha entertainment. You Can Enjoy an Evening with Kagurazaka Geisha for Just ¥30,000 in Tokyo We offer Kagurazaka Geisha banquets at Torijaya, a restaurant rated as Tokyo's number one for "Udon-Suki (Udon Hot Pot)," for groups of six or more at ¥30,000 per person. While cheaper banquets usually involve two Geisha, our plan includes three Geisha, providing a luxurious experience. Three Geisha are essential for dancing, singing, and playing instruments (such as the shamisen), making our plan ideal for a Geisha banquet. Additionally, an interpreter guide proficient in English is included, ensuring that foreign guests who do not speak Japanese can enjoy the experience. This exceptional price of ¥30,000 per person, covering the meal, three Geisha, and an interpreter guide, is possible because we negotiate directly with the Geisha and Torijaya, eliminating middleman fees. This is a unique advantage of being a local company based in Kagurazaka. Check out my blog post https://wix.to/puOiDro #newblogpost #geisha #kagurazaka #torijaya

Havana's Historic Habanos Challenge: A Celebration of Cuban Cigar Mastery 🇨🇺 Last week, Havana pulsed with the excitement of cigar aficionados as Corporación Habanos, S.A. made history. The world leader in Premium cigars hosted Cuba's first-ever national Habanos World Challenge, setting the stage for an unforgettable showdown of cigar expertise. Picture this: The luxurious Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski transformed into an arena of tobacco prowess. Teams from Gaviota, Caracol, Cimex, and Abel Cigar Lounge went head-to-head, their passion for Habanos on full display. The air was thick with anticipation (and probably some exquisite smoke). But this wasn't just any competition. The victorious duo earned the honor of representing Cuba at the 25th Habano Festival in 2025. Talk about pressure! This groundbreaking event followed on the heels of February's international Habano Festival, which drew an impressive 2,900 delegates from 108 countries. Clearly, the allure of Cuban cigars knows no borders. Let's not forget the powerhouse behind it all. Corporación Habanos S.A., founded in 1994, has been dominating the premium cigar scene for decades. With legendary brands like Cohíba, Montecristo, and Romeo y Julieta in their arsenal, it's no wonder they're in over 130 territories worldwide. The numbers don't lie: A staggering $721 million turnover in 2023, up 31% from the previous year. China, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and the UK? They can't get enough of that Cuban craftsmanship. As we eagerly await news of the winning team, one thing's certain: The art of the Habano is alive and thriving in its homeland. Here's to the skilled hands that roll, the experts who judge, and the passion that keeps this tradition burning bright. #habanochallenge #cubancigars #habanos #cigarmastery #cohiba #montecristoNYC #cigarlife #havana #premiumtobacco #cigaraficionado #botl #sotl #cigarculture #cigarnews #tobaccohistory

Holi, the vibrant festival celebrated annually across the Indian subcontinent, ushers in a jubilant spirit marked by colorful festivities. While Holi embodies joyous camaraderie, it also necessitates a nuanced understanding of legal ramifications and liabilities associated with its observance. Let’s delves into the legal facets of Holi, exploring potential liabilities, regulatory frameworks. Liability in Festive Celebrations: In the fervor of Holi revelry, participants engage in exuberant acts such as smearing colored powders and dousing one another with water. However, amidst the merriment lie potential legal liabilities. Instances of injury, property damage, and public nuisance may arise, prompting legal scrutiny. The principle of res ipsa loquitur (“the thing speaks for itself”) could be invoked in cases where harm occurs, shifting the burden of proof to the defendant to demonstrate absence of negligence. Regulatory Framework: Various statutes and regulations govern public festivities like Holi to ensure safety and order. Local municipal bylaws often dictate permissible noise levels, use of public spaces, and safety measures during celebrations. Failure to adhere to such regulations may lead to legal repercussions under principles of administrative law. Additionally, environmental laws may come into play, particularly concerning the disposal of waste generated during Holi festivities, aligning with the legal maxim sic utere tuo ut alienum non laedas (“use your own property in such a manner as not to injure that of another”). Consumer Protection and Product Liability: The sale and distribution of Holi-related paraphernalia, including colors and water guns, implicate consumer protection laws. Products must meet safety standards, and sellers bear liability for defective or harmful goods under principles of product liability. The maxim caveat emptor (“let the buyer beware”) underscores the importance of consumer vigilance, although modern consumer protection statutes have shifted the burden of responsibility onto sellers to ensure product safety. Public Order and Nuisance: Holi celebrations, often characterized by loud music, public gatherings, and extensive use of colorants, may infringe upon the rights of others and disturb public tranquility. The maxim salus populi suprema lex (“the welfare of the people is the supreme law”) underscores the state’s prerogative to safeguard public welfare, even if it entails curtailing certain festive activities. Conclusion: As Holi transcends cultural and geographical boundaries, its legal implications demand meticulous consideration. By navigating the intersection of tradition and legality, stakeholders can ensure a harmonious celebration that upholds both the spirit of Holi and the rule of law. Legal awareness, compliance with regulations, and a conscientious approach to festivities are imperative in fostering a safe and legally sound environment for all participants.
