I just came across some insights from the 2024 Disability Equality Index, and it’s got me thinking. This tool is such a valuable benchmark for how companies are doing with disability inclusion, and while we’re making progress, there’s still work to be done. The good news? 71% of companies are ensuring their digital products are accessible—a big jump from 64% last year. The not-so-good news? Only 11% of companies have an openly disabled director on their boards. Accessibility is crucial, but representation in leadership? That’s where real change happens.
