Why We Chose the Name CLE Connect When we decided to evolve from Homeless Hookup to CLE Connect, it wasn't just a name change—it was a declaration of who we are, what we stand for, and where we're headed. Connection is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission goes far beyond providing essentials like food, clothing, and hygiene products. It's about building meaningful connections that create lasting change. From our clients to our volunteers, supporters, employees, and community partners—and even to you, our social media family—every connection matters. These connections are the threads that hold our community together. They create opportunities for growth, empathy, and change. Whether it's linking someone in need with life-saving services, partnering with local businesses to strengthen outreach, or sharing stories that inspire hope—we believe that every interaction holds the power to transform lives. CLE Connect symbolizes that belief. It's the connection between us and the people we serve. It's the connection between our volunteers and the community. It's the connection between supporters and our mission. It's the connection between Cleveland’s most vulnerable and the path to a better future. By choosing CLE Connect, we’re committing to being more than a service provider. We’re connectors, bridge-builders, and advocates for human dignity. If you've ever volunteered, donated, shared a post, or even "liked" one of our updates—you are a vital part of this network of connections. Thank you for being part of CLE Connect. Your support fuels our mission, and together, we’re building a more connected Cleveland. Want to deepen your connection with us? Volunteer, donate, or just keep following along. Every connection counts. Every connection changes lives. #CLEConnect #EveryConnectionMatters #CommunityDriven #ClevelandProud

It's Friday! Take some time out of your day today and thank a first responder or veteran. Here are 6 ways to do that: Cook a Meal: Bringing home-cooked food to your local police or fire station shows that you care. A warm meal can make a difference in their day. Donate to a Good Cause: Support organizations that directly benefit first responders. Consider contributing to charities or foundations that provide assistance to these heroes. Send a Letter of Thanks: A heartfelt note expressing your appreciation can brighten their day. Let them know how their service impacts the community. Send a Practical Gift Basket: Consider assembling a thoughtful gift basket with items like snacks, personal care products, or useful tools. It’s a practical way to say “thank you.” Spread the Word: Use your voice to raise awareness about the importance of first responders. Share their stories, achievements, and challenges with others. Simply Say ‘Thanks’: Sometimes, a sincere verbal acknowledgment is all it takes. Let them know you appreciate their sacrifices and commitment to public safety. Remember, every small gesture counts! #ThankYouFirstResponders #CommunityHeroes

Bonnie Hattingh, Thabang Phakoe, and Sifiso Manyala from DMT Kai Batla visited Home of Hope For Girls to deliver toiletries and funds collected by our team. A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues for their generosity. We've chosen to adopt Home of Hope For Girls as our ongoing charity partner, with plans for future drives and volunteer efforts to support their important work. Though I usually prefer to keep these efforts private, I'm sharing this to highlight the incredible work being done at Home of Hope For Girls (https://lnkd.in/dR3KHpce). Supporting organizations like this goes beyond donations. Here are five meaningful ways to get involved: 1. Volunteer: Give your time to assist with daily operations or events. 2. Share Your Skills: Offer your professional expertise in areas such as legal support, marketing, or IT. 3. Be a Mentor: Guide and educate the young girls, helping them on their personal and career journeys. 4. Connect: Introduce the charity to others who can help, whether through donations or partnerships. 5. Champion Their Cause: Speak up for the charity in your circles, helping to raise awareness and support. #CommunitySupport #GivingBack #VolunteerWork

Happy Dressember Eve! 🎉 In just a few short hours, we'll kick off this year's Dressember campaign, and we want YOU to join us in dressing up for the entire month of December or even just one day to support International Justice Mission's work to end human trafficking and violence. Register now at dressember.org/fundraise Still on the fence? We've got tons of fundraising rewards waiting for you, plus everything you need to get started in our Fundraising Toolkit. And if you register today, you could get a $50 donation to your page as one of the first 1,000 sign-ups–thanks to some generous donors! 🙌 But more than that, when you join Dressember, you're standing with advocates worldwide to transform the lives of trafficking victims and survivors. We know the problem of human trafficking is overwhelming–forced labor is a $236 billion industry. What can one dress do? Blythe Hill, Dressember's Founder, always reminds herself that it's worth looking silly in front of 1,000 people to help just one person. She writes "1 < 1000" on her bathroom mirror and recommits to dressing up for that one person every day of December. What began as a simple style challenge has raised over $20 million to rescue and relieve victims, restore survivors, prevent further exploitation, and amplify survivor voices. Whether you join us for the entire month or just Dressember For A Day, we're so grateful you're answering this urgent call. It will take all of us, with whatever capacity we have, to create real change. Let's show the world that you can do anything in a dress! 💖 #Dressember #EndHumanTrafficking #YouCanDoAnythingInADress

Every meal packed and every hand raised brings us one step closer to eliminating world hunger. Take inspiration from the volunteers at Providence Baptist Church in Charleston County, SC, who recently came together to pack 10,000 meals for #RiseAgainstHunger. Acts of service like these go beyond nourishment, sending ripples of hope and love across the globe. Engaging your local community can supercharge your organization's impact. Not only can community partnerships amplify your mission, they can raise awareness, drive engagement, and foster long term support. So, how can your nonprofit mobilize local volunteers and build lasting relationships? Make them feel part of your story. Remember, every story starts somewhere. Each step, each volunteer, each meal, brings us closer to a world without hunger. You are not alone on this journey. Have any thoughts or experiences in engaging the community for your cause? We'd love to hear them. #NonprofitLeaders #NonprofitFounders #CommunityEngagement #NonprofitMarketing #RiseAgainstHunger #EndWorldHunger #BusinessSolution #GiveHopeDaily
