Here’s What Works Best! 🔹 Lumbar facet joint syndrome is a leading cause of chronic low back pain (LBP), yet treatment options and their effectiveness are still widely debated. A recent network meta-analysis published in RAPM evaluates the impact of radiofrequency treatments compared to other approaches like sham procedures, corticosteroid injections, and conservative treatments. 📊 Key Findings: - The analysis of 25 RCTs (1969 patients) revealed that endoscopic neurotomy consistently ranks as the most effective treatment for FJS, offering sustained pain relief and functional improvement up to 12 months. - Endoscopic neurotomy achieved the highest scores in pain reduction and functional improvement (Oswestry Disability Index), followed closely by medial branch thermal radiofrequency.
