🔥Today is my fifth day of regular posting. Let me share a little bit about me! 🌟 My journey as a graphic designer has been a transformative one! 💫From weaving and stitching garments in textile design to creating captivating graphics, short films, and ads. 🎓 I am in my last year. I often wondered if I should be in fashion instead. 💜But graphic design captured my heart, leading me to do internships and create graphics free of cost to gain experience. 📈 Each project taught me something new and helped me grow as a designer. My friends thought I couldn't focus on one thing, but I now see that my diverse interests make me a better designer. What touches my heart the most is when I receive positive reviews. It's a reminder that hard work and dedication truly pay off. As I celebrate my fifth day of posting, I want others to know that it's okay to have doubts along the way. 🌟They can lead you to unexpected and fulfilling paths. ✨ So, keep dreaming, stay true to yourself, and enjoy every moment of your journey. PS: If you're just starting out in graphic design, don't be afraid to take on new challenges and learn from every experience. Every step you take will bring you closer to your goals. 💪 #Passion #Inspiration #KeepGoing

When introducing yourself to a potential employer, it's important to be clear and brief. You want to state who you are, your experience, and end with something unique about you that'll make you memorable or spark a connection. The idea is to squeeze it into 30 seconds, or 60 words if typing digitally. Here are the four things needed: - Name - Where are you at? - Accomplishment (keep it relevant to the job you are applying for) - Unique about you (what can you say that humanizes you, and what will they remember about you?) Here's mine, for example: Hi my name is Jessica Duce, I am a senior graphic design student at BYU-Idaho, and a graphic design intern at Sandhill Media Group. Recently, one of my personal projects, a movie poster, earned recognition and was published in the annual BYU-I student works magazine. I love to rock climb and I scaled the Grand Teton last summer. This is a great strategy for that first interview question, "So what can you tell me about yourself?"

Hello! My name is Fernanda Gonzalez, a graphic designer whom enjoys all things design. I would like to share some advice based on my personal experience from college. After you have learned the tools and graphic design basics. You may ask what next to further my experience and knowledge? Here are some helpful tips based on my personal experience for young graphic designers that are in college or self-taught. First, build a portfolio website showcasing 4-6 works of your best projects. This can take time, but think about what projects you want to show recruiters. Second, create a resume and then start applying to internships, a great way to gain professional experience in the field. Most internships would also require a cover letter, but all cover letters are different as it caters to that one company you're applying for an internship. Third, after landing an internship, the working experience starts but don't be afraid to ask questions as they are your mentors. Fourth, after your internship is done, make sure to thank them for the wonderful experience and keep in touch. Then go back to your resume and add your internship to it. I hope these tips were helpful for young graphic designer.

Meet Micah, a Graphic Design Intern! 🎊 Located in the New York Metro Area, Micah graduated from the New York Institute of Technology. She loves the training at her job, describing it as "boot camp with more coffee and fewer push-ups," which helps prepare her for the "fast-paced agency life, especially before the peak season hits." 🏋️♀️ Micah has learned that "mastering time management and communication is crucial to thriving without becoming a stressed-out creative zombie!" She said she "enjoys the supportive community at Implico, where coworkers share challenges and advice, making work feel like a shared adventure." After the Implico Academy Kickoff Conference in Dallas, TX, Micah's favorite part was "chatting with my coworkers about their different takes on everyday challenges and their passions outside of work was a fantastic learning experience. It brought us closer to seeing the real people behind our remote work screens, making those virtual interactions feel a lot more human." 👭 Favorite Template: Cupertino. Micah loves its "fun and dynamic vibe. The vibrant colors and modern elements make the content engaging and easy to navigate." Hobbies: Micah said, "By day, I'm a designer making magic happen, but in my free time, I'm a total animation geek binge-watching animated shows and leveling up my own animation skills. It's like living my childhood dream on repeat!" 🥰 Fun Facts: Micah has a pet bunny and calls herself "just his treat dispenser working to earn his approval!" 🐰🥕 #MeetTheTeamMonday #GraphicDesign #WomanOwned #EmployeeEngagement
