Habit-Forming Brands: I heard this term for the first time today morning at my morning 10Xer Club's Retention & Engagement by Amritansu Nanda, while he passionately spoke about the initial days he spent building Zepto. Apparently, these are brands that offer experiences/products that seamlessly blend into our daily routine and eventually become an integral part of our life. Eg: Google Pay, Zepto, Blinkit, CRED, Amazon etc. Something stuck a chord, and I tried really hard to remember the life before Q-comm became the 'IT' thing. I couldn't remember much and that's when I realized the impact created by these brands in their consumer's head. I used to be my mom's zepto, blinkit to run errands and get her things from the nearby dukhan before these q-comm platforms. While it is scary to ponder on the effects of these Habit-forming brands, I am also equally eager to see where this leads to in the future with the new Zepto cafe and 10-min food deliveries added to this line. Few brands that have really become my habit are Amazon, Zepto, Blinkit, Zomato, Spotify, YouTube to name a few.
