Language implies assumptions. Language can unify or divide. Language maintains culture. The #OxfordDictionary defines the word 'nature' is defined as: "the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations." This is a fictional separation that allows us to believe that harming nature is not harming ourselves. The #wearenature campaign aims to change the definition of Nature in UK dictionaries. "We want our dictionaries to reflect the scientific fact and overwhelming consensus that humans are part of Nature, just as animals, plants and other products of the earth are." David Cebon I am waiting for your response to my comments to your open letter on hydrogen fuel cell use for Paris Olympic. Key is to understand what is needed to introduce sufficient amount of solar and wind which are intermittent in nature. Economically scalable storage is must. Otherwise, we will end up wasting most of supply capacity like we see at https://lnkd.in/g5yVwEZx If solar/wind operators could sell only fraction of produced electricity, they will be force to raise the price in order to pay off their capital investment. Remember, cost of sola/wind installation is proportional to the scale. Consequence is apparent: higher electric bill and unreliable supply = blackouts. Now remember that high capacity DCFC will have to rely on the scalable storage in order to decarbonize the power sources.
