Today is LEAD Girls Giving Day! We need your help to build the future leaders in our community! 🚀 ICYMI I'm thrilled to announce that LEAD Girls of NC has earned the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, awarded to less than 1% of nonprofits nationwide. (For reference, there are 1.9 million nonprofits nationwide.) This rating is a significant achievement because Candid is an impartial organization that assesses how nonprofits use their funds and govern themselves. Earning this seal reflects our high level of transparency, integrity, and commitment to sharing important information with the public. But here’s where YOU come in: We’re already 51% of the way to our $25,000 Giving Day goal, and every donation today will be matched up to $10,000. That means your support has DOUBLE the impact. Talk about the joy of giving. By donating today, you’re not just supporting LEAD Girls of NC—you’re investing in the future of girls in our community. Change a girl. Change a community. Change the world. 🌍 Your gift helps equip at-risk, low-income preteen girls with the skills and confidence to thrive as leaders, lifting up not only themselves but their entire communities. Don’t wait—give today and be the change that transforms lives! https://lnkd.in/enetdn95 #LEADGivingDay #Empowerment #GirlsLeadership #CommunityImpact #SupportNonprofits

Today is Giving Tuesday! At the Alex Sebahie Never Back Down Foundation, we are committed to turning tragedy into purpose and never backing down in our efforts to support the community. We give back through sponsorships, partnerships, and initiatives that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. • We support families in need. • We create opportunities for students and student-athletes. • We partner with local organizations to host events like blood drives. This Giving Tuesday, we’re focused on bringing joy to children who might otherwise go without this Christmas. Every effort counts, and together, we can create moments of hope and happiness for those who need it most. Where are you giving today? Are you giving at work, at home, or in your community? As it says in the Bible: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Let’s inspire each other to give generously, whether it’s our time, resources, or talents. Share your story below—let’s spread the spirit of giving and make a lasting impact together. #GivingTuesday #CommunitySupport #NeverBackDown #GivingBack Alex Sebahie Never Back Down

Giving isn’t a resolution; it’s a way of life. Let’s talk about the year-end good deed rush. Four in ten adults are cramming in kindness before 2024 ends, like it’s the deadline for a college essay. And hey, we love to see it, but here’s the real question: Why does giving back always feel like a December sport? Giving isn’t a New Year’s resolution, and it’s not just for the holidays. It’s a way of showing up, again and again, no matter the time of year. You don’t need confetti or countdowns to start. So let’s skip the last-minute scramble and make giving a daily habit. Because real change? It doesn’t wait for a calendar flip. 🤷 #Hope2Give #TransactWithPurpose #MissionTrip #BeyondDonations #LeadWithPurpose #BusinessForGood #CommunityDriven #EverydayGiving #SmallActsBigImpact #FindYourMoment

The world’s a big, beautiful place with lots going on— and learning about new communities & cultures through international travel is one of life’s greatest educational opportunities. 🌍 #YouthTravel specifically yields countless benefits for young people (both in the short and long term), and their travel experiences enrich their lives in ways only experiential learning can. However— not everybody steps into their college years / young adulthood with a passport full of stamps and the mindset of a global citizen. Despite the many benefits of travel, the reality is, there are also a lot of barriers. For instance, only about 35% of all US students studying abroad identify as non-white. Black & African American scholars account for just 5%. I AM C.U.L.T.U.R.E.D. is uniquely positioned to help combat those statistics as a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high school students of color with global travel opportunities (as a part of our Movers & Shakers program). ✈️ ———————————— If you’re tired of reading already, here’s a link where you can get free ice cream*: https://lnkd.in/g4YmFZmu ———————————— Each year, from November to May, we guide a cohort of 40-50 teens through professional development workshops, 1:1 mentorship, community service activities, college prep support, and of course, an international excursion— all coordinated and executed by a group of talented + tireless volunteers. We’ve sponsored 67 passports for our IAC students. We’ve traveled 117,817 miles with over 100 teens. We’ve provided 7,251 hours of mentorship, community service, and youth programming. And we want to do so much more. This #GivingTuesday is as good a time as ever for me to rally the proverbial troops. aka YOU. 🖤🥁💲 Every tax-deductible donation helps us continue this work to remove barriers and provide access to the youth of color in our communities. When you give, our impact grows. THANK YOU 💥🙏🏼 *there is no free ice cream it’s just the link to make a donation ☺️🍦 #LetTheWorldBeYourClassroom #ItsGivingTime #ForAGoodCause #IAmCultured #GlobalCitizens #GlobalMindset #StudyAbroad #YouthTourism #HighSchoolStudents #ForTheKids

As we enter the holiday season, it’s important to remember that not everyone experiences this time as joyful. For many, financial strain, loneliness, or personal challenges can make this season especially difficult. The pressure to meet societal expectations – like gift giving, or hosting – can feel overwhelming, while others may grapple with grief or isolation. As we see in our own community, food bank usage and homelessness are both on the rise and are just a couple of the many reasons why we feel it is important to give back. This season offers an opportunity to show empathy and kindness, reminding us that the true spirit of the holidays lies in the compassion and community. Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages generosity and charitable giving. It takes place annually on the Tuesday after American Thanksgiving, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Established in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, it aims to shift the focus from consumerism to altruism during the holiday season. Organizations and individuals participate by donating to causes they care about, volunteering, or raising awareness for nonprofit initiatives. Social media plays a significant role, with hashtags like #GivingTuesday used to amplify the movement’s reach. The day has grown into an international event, inspiring generosity worldwide. Please visit the link below to find out more about the initiative and to discover ways you can get involved. Happy holidays! https://lnkd.in/eAUqA2cD

Just a reminder that this week ● You might hear rejection on that proposal or application, ● You might see people unsubscribe from your letters sent recently, ● You might hear a rude no on your requests in a mail or two. But none of them – or more such actions – mean an invitation to question your values, why, and purpose. Because none of those actions in singularity mean your failure. And because all of those actions give you three opportunities: ● Opportunity to review if there was values alignment in those actions, ● Opportunity to choose how you want to proceed, and, ● Opportunity to celebrate everything you and your team did and gave to each of those actions. So, my nonprofit friends, regardless of the actions I listed at the top of this post as an example, I want to see you celebrating your work, your team, and yourselves by the time I write another of these notes on Friday! #nonprofitleadership #community
