One World, One Roof We all live under the same roof of this world, and environmental issues are inevitably vital for everyone, businesses, and lives. Therefore, instead of viewing it merely as a social responsibility, it must move from the margins to the core of operations, and every business, regardless of its field, should raise awareness about these issues. Every business has a platform, a voice through which it can communicate. The design of how much and what kind of content is shared from this platform should not only cover topics that increase customers, revenue, and profit but also facilitate the continuation of life on this planet to achieve those goals. Research shows that 65% of consumers expect companies to act on societal issues, including climate action. Millennial and GenZ consumers now rank climate change and protecting the environment as their top concerns. Engage with stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and communities, to raise awareness about the health impacts of climate change and develop strategies to address them. Effective stakeholder engagement is an ongoing process that requires active listening, responsiveness, and continuous communication. Identify and engage with stakeholders to build a shared understanding and collaborative approach to address the health impacts of climate change. This engagement can provide valuable insights and help identify specific risks and needs. Here are some ways to effectively engage stakeholders: • Surveys and interviews • Workshops and focus groups • Employee engagement programs Involve employees for impact. Assess their awareness of climate and health issues and listen to what is important to them. Ask if leadership is meeting their expectations for protecting the environment. Consider hosting a training on climate and health impacts and opportunities for action. Communicate openly and transparently about your organization’s work around the health impacts of climate change. Keep stakeholders and communities updated about your efforts. If our goals are the same and we believe in collaboration, we can inspire change by creating and sharing relevant content on our platforms. Moving beyond 'save the planet' to what really drives corporate clients → Aspirational, planet-focused messaging may have been an effective trigger for ethically-driven corporate clients fifteen years ago. And for customers with big budgets and even bigger climate ambitions, this messaging may still be effective — but these companies are few and far between. The corporate climate landscape has evolved and so must our marketing strategies. While ‘saving the planet’ may be the driving force behind your mission statement, it shouldn’t be the main focus of your product messaging. Instead: Get specific. What are your target customers (the people, not the organizations), dealing with right now? Sustainability teams are almost always small and under-resourced. How can you help them do their jobs better? Cheaper? Faster?
