🚀 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬! 🌱 At the 19th Netherlands Process Technology Symposium (NPS 19), Rima Mahmoud and Qian Zhou, researchers at MNEXT, presented their latest findings in extracting valuable compounds from cashew nutshells. These findings within the Totally Nuts project bring us closer to creating biobased, circular materials from what was once considered waste. By isolating anacardic acid and cardanol, we're unlocking new possibilities for sustainable, high-performance thermoset resins, with potential applications beyond the cashew industry such as pharmaceuticals and agriculture. 🌍 This project shows how we can turn industrial by-products into valuable resources. Stay tuned for more updates! #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #BiobasedMaterials #Innovation #ProcessTechnology #TotallyNuts #CashewShells #GreenTech

Celebrate Earth Day 2024 with AMSilk GmbH | Biotech Materials! 🌍🌱 This year’s theme, Planet vs. Plastics, highlights the urgent need to eliminate plastics for the wellbeing of both humans and our planet. As a global leader in advanced materials made from spider silk-based proteins, we recognize the need to reduce our reliance on plastics and transition towards more sustainable alternatives. Our silk formulations are entirely free from animal-derived substances and fossil-based raw materials, and they leave no microplastics behind. At the end of their life cycle, AMSilk’s materials are verifiably biodegradable. Together, we can create a world where sustainability and innovation go hand in hand, paving the way for a healthier planet for generations to come. #WorldEarthDay #Sustainability #Biomaterials #AMSilk
