There's not much enterocele-specific research floating around. While some therapists and women feel hypopressive exercises are very safe (an abdominal breath vacuum technique to treat pelvic organ prolapse by sucking organs back up inside), my gut has always said too risky for prolapse treatment when so many other options are available. Especially for women with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome with who have weak tissue integrity to begin with. I've grilled a bunch of the top dogs in the hypo space for research validation of no risk considering potential for intestinal strangulation (cutting off of the blood supply to the intestine by twisting). No responses. This study clarifies my concerns. Certainly not common, but life-threatening possibility when other methods are as effective gets my attention. https://lnkd.in/gMH2t6X4 #APOPS #womenshealthempowerment #BelowtheWaist #TheBiggestSecretinWomensHealth
