Four years ago, Katie Barnicoat and I embarked on a journey to build something special with Peeq. This week, we celebrate our 4th birthday, and I’ve been reflecting on what this milestone means to me. Building a business is far from easy—if it were, everyone would do it! These four years have been filled with great highs, a fair few hurdles, and lessons that have shaped us both. One of our biggest lessons? Knowing where our strengths lie and leaning into them unapologetically. This year hasn’t been without its challenges. In fact, it’s probably been our toughest yet. But challenges force you to think differently, to innovate, and to focus on what truly matters. For us, that’s always been about relationships—whether it’s deepening connections with our clients, supporting candidates on their career journeys, or finding new ways to add value. One of our reflections as we’ve grown is how important it is to own what we do and be honest about where we thrive and where we need support. Vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s a sign of strength. As I look back, I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished and wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone—our Peeqers, clients, and candidates—who have been part of this journey.
