Reflecting on the transformative experience at the The Festival of the Diaspora 2024, Techademics was privileged to witness a global celebration of humanity, diversity, and inclusion. Al was honored to participate in a Fireside Chat with Wilson L. White VP at Google to discuss A.I., a driver of Inclusive, Sustainable growth. The panel was moderated by Augusto Almeida from Google! Now that the @token2049 week is officially over in Dubai, i'd like to share some thoughts 1. The shift towards Asia can be felt throughout. Even though many of our US friends couldn't make it over, the amount of buzz and European <> Asian conversations and alignment were abundantly clear. There is something sad to be said about the U.S. based projects diminishing international dominance, but such is life until the policies in D.C. change. 2. Vibes and Energy are the rule of the land. Retail was present and the projects and talks that were the most discussed were the ones with the strong narratives and communities. Though you can still feel the humbleness from this bear market, as conversations of opposing views were usually very openly approached. 3. @QuasarFi's new pitch slaps. We will obviously share more on this soon, but I was very pleased with the feedback I got and the "aha" moments of the few people I tested our consolidated, Version 2.0 pitch on. Bullish times ahead. 4. Nobody worried about the dip. I can keep this one short, the only time the dip was mentioned was in the context of wishing people had more liquidity to ape in harder. 5. We're so back. We are, in fact, so back.

Well, I'm thrilled to report that the future looks promising and bright! 🎉 Last week, we celebrated the first anniversary of our Zug Chapter of #WomenInDigitalSwitzerland, where an electrifying crowd of visionaries, change-makers, and digital passionate fellows gathered from Zug’s digital scene. 🔥 It was more than just a gathering; it was a milestone where our shared vision started transforming into reality. Imagine this: a room buzzing with stakeholders from private sectors, public organizations, and educational institutions, all at the same table, all fired up to create a collective future. As the moderator of the "Shaping the Future of the Zug Digital Ecosystem" panel, I had the privilege of steering conversations with four amazing Zug figures driving us toward a more inclusive, #innovative, and thriving #digitalecosystem, not just locally but on the global stage.👏 A huge shoutout to the powerhouse panelists Jelena Laketić, Piritta van Rijn, @AndreWicki and Barry M. Dequanne for their groundbreaking insights and commitment to take actions! 🌐 And it wasn't all talk; we're about action too! Some tangible initiatives were proposed to strengthen this collaborative platform and bridge connections across all facets of our ecosystem. Highlights included launching (1) the #ZugBlockchainAcademy, (2) hosting a #GlobalAIHackathon right here in #Zug, and rolling out an (3) Apprenticeship Program linking educational institutions with industry leaders like #ThomsonReuters. 🤝 How are we keeping this incredible momentum? What a series of events! The marathon of trade shows at which Verdikt exhibited has come to an end for this half-year, and it's time to look back on the highlights and share with you what I took away from them. 🌱 GreenTech Forum Brussels: For this occasion, I was invited to speak at conferences alongside Manaelle P. - Wemanity Group, Julien Rouzé - Sopht, Diego Eguidazu - European Patent Office, Tobias Strelow - Lufthansa Group. Articulating our convictions, honed through experience as a former CIO, is crucial. These privileged moments highlight the importance of measurement—persuading with facts and figures, rather than relying solely on best practices, which alone are insufficient for fostering improvement over time. This principle holds particularly true in large organizations, where the need for flexibility surrounds the overall strategic vision over time. The challenge is to provide them with granular country-level assessments and multifaceted reporting across executive, operational, and regulatory tiers—facilitating comprehensive on-site discussions. 🚀 Vivatech: Once again, Verdikt had the chance to participate in the largest trade show dedicated to technology and startups in Europe. This year, the #Women #Entrepreneurs program of Orange, of which I’m a member, earned Verdikt a place in their exhibition space. Amidst the hustle and bustle, we had the privilege of hosting over a hundred meetings. These one-on-one conversations and tours organized by HUB Institute (Digital & Positive Impact accelerator) and Wavestone were brimming with insights. We exchanged ideas with the brilliant minds behind COMEX Orange, Orange Consulting, Orange Innovation, Orange Business as well as representatives from esteemed institutions in the banking, insurance, retail and industry sectors. 📚 CRIP Universities: This year, Sustainable IT was introduced as a new theme at this flagship CRIP event. It was an opportunity for us to pitch alongside all the ecosystem players EasyVirt, Sopht, Agence-e.com, Oxygen IT, and attend numerous plenaries - notably the one by Agnes C., responsible for Sustainable IT at Banque de France, on how to implement eco-design to reduce the footprint of software as well as the one by Frédérique Lefranc, Project manager at My Money Bank, on her insights into how to raise awareness among its users to adopt best IT practices. 🤝 Ready for IT: Held at the renowned Grimaldi Forum Monaco, this event is a staple on the agendas of IT decision-makers. The event was filled with high-quality conferences, most of which delved into cybersecurity matters, as well as topical themes such as startups, IT sustainability and AI. What has changed with us Since Last GITEX-2023 to this GITEX-2024? GITEX is an event worth #Growing and #learning. The most important part of GITEX is Post-GITEX #activities. I believe this is true for every Event that the things you do after the event increase your chances of #meeting your goals than what you do before the Event. We always believe that you should always invest 10-15% of your #turnover into Learning and #Educating the team. Events are the new way of doing business, the time of cold calls is history now. Last year's GITEX was more of a learning curve for us and it gave us some good pointers to work on before we plan for GITEX 2024. Earlier most of our engagements were event based. This GITEX we aimed for less #Event based #Meetings and More Off the GITEX meetings, which turned out to be a great success for us. We also #focused more on the way we connect with #potential people and enhanced our #processes to ensure end to end nurturing is done to make them comfortable. We are grateful to everyone who has helped us make this visit fruitful especially #Partners, #Clients, New #Connections, and GITEX's Management. We are optimistic about the #pointers we have got from this year, can't wait to implement them and evaluate the result for next year!
